A RARE .177 TELL 3 BREAK-BARREL AIR-PISTOL, serial no. 926, one of only a small number produced circa 1937, with round tapering 5 3/8in. barrel marked 'KAL 4 1/2mm' over 'CAL .177', blued air-chamber stamped 'VENUS WAFFENWERK ZELLA-MEHLIS' on the left hand side, articulated flush-fitting blued cocking link laying along the top of cylinder and stamped 'TELL MOD 3', together with a depiction of a man holding a break-barrel air-rifle above an apple, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating rear-sight, blued frame with brown mottled chequered bakelite one-piece grip, both sides of grip inlet with red and gold 'TELL' trademark medallions, metalwork expertly refinished. A RARE CASED PAIR OF CHARLES LANCASTER 16-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED RIFLED HOWDAH PISTOLS, serial no. 910 / 911, circa 1840, with browned side by side 9in. barrels signed on the top-flats 'CHARLES LANCASTER 151 NEW BOND ST. LONDON', all barrels also bearing Irish registration numbers 'WA428' or 'WA429' respectively, moulded colour-hardened breech-blocks with platinum vents, the tops inlet with a platinum line and the rib-endS engraved with a lioness mask, dove-tailed bead fore-sights, standing notch rear-sights to the fronts of the colour hardened fully engraved top-tangs, colour hardened border, scroll and gamescene engraved bar-action locks with sliding safes behind the dolphin-headed hammers, the bars signed 'C. LANCASTER, LONDON' between scrolled lines, walnut half-stocks with finely chequered swept butts, each fitted with an engraved and moulded off-set blued iron butt-cap, guarded plain triggers, rectangular white metal clipped corner escutcheons to the wrists and oval escutcheons to the blued barrel keys, engraved ramrod throats with plain thimbles and brass tipped ebony ramrods, both pistols in a good state of preservation with much original finish and colour intact and complete with their makers brass cornered mahogany case (lock escutcheon absent), replacement trade-label inside lid, the tray relined and compartmented in green baize and complete with a leather covered flask, mould, loading rod and sundry other accessories.

A RARE CASED AND ENGRAVED ADAMS 38-BORE PERCUSSION REVOLVER RETAILED BY REILLY, LONDON, serial no. 16503R, circa 1855, with blued octagonal 7 3/8in. barrel engraved with scrolls at breech, borderlined to the flats and a band at muzzle, the top-strap signed 'REILLY 502 NEW OXFORD STREET LONDON' within a border engraved panel with a further scroll engraved panel, solid borderline and scroll engraved blued frame, plain colour hardened cylinder with engraved band to leading edge and borderlines engraved to rear, double action mechanism, chequered walnut one-piece swept grip with engraved domed iron cap to the swollen pommel, guarded trigger and blued frame-mounted rammer, retaining much of its original finish and faded colour and together with its maker's oak storage case lined and compartmented in blue velvet, Reilly trade label inside lid and complete with a Reilly marked mould, a fine James Dixon bag-shaped flask, cap-tin, oil bottle, loading rod, turn-screw and nipple-key, all almost certainly original to the revolver.

L392, circa 1863, with round tapering 6in. barrels rifled for the Jacob style bullet in four grooves, the flat sighting plane fitted with a dove-tailed fore-sight and a rear-sight of four folding leaves with an additional shallow standing notch, the sighting plane further signed 'R.S GARDEN, 29 PICCADILLY, LONDON', moulded breech-block with scroll engraving to upper surface, borderline and scroll engraved curved back action locks signed R.S. GARDEN' and with sliding safes behind the asymmetric hammers, chequered walnut grip flared and capped at the pommel and bored through with a lined lanyard aperture, white metal vacant oval escutcheon to wrist and brass-tipped captive iron ramrod stored on a lower rib below the barrels, strong traces of original finish throughout and appearing little used.

Adam bullet mould, a mahogany cleaning rod, a reproduction bag-shaped flask, a nipple key and cap-tin.

BAKER' is stamped inside the ramrod channel, brass furniture and iron ramrod and swivels.

A GOOD AND EXTREMELY RARE CASED 80-BORE PERCUSSION PRESENTATION NEEDHAM'S PATENT REVOLVER, no visible serial number, circa 1854 and conforming to Henry Needhams Patent 2184 of 20th September 1853, with blued octagonal 4 1/4in. barrel, each flat borderline engraved and with further engraved band at muzzle, the top-strap signed 'H. NEEDHAM, LONDON', dove-tailed blade and bead fore-sight, notch rear-sight to the back of the solid top-strap, colour hardened cylinder with engraved bands front and rear and a central broad band of scroll engraving, angled nipples, radiused border and scroll engraved colour-hardened slab-sided receiver with external hammer, gravity operated safety and quick-release mechanism for the barrel and cylinder, border engraved back-strap marked 'S. BIRDSEYE' in gothic lettering, almost certainly the original owner's name, semi saw-handled finely chequered walnut grip, engraved iron grip-cap with central trap-door for caps and no provision for rammer, much original colour and finish remaining throughout and together with its oak storage case lined and compartmented in green baize and complete with a flask, scissors mould, nipple-key, loading rod and cap-tin, lock escutcheon absent, the lid escutcheon initialled 'S.B.'. The revolver comes with a facsimile copy of the 1853 Needham patent No. 2184.
