First Official FIFA-Pin 1968. - First official general FIFA pin. Was given out for the first time in 1968. 1,5x1,3 cm, silver plated bronze with blue enamelled gloebe. Manufacturers Peka. Needles's lenght: 5,5 cm. Original general FIFA pin which was given out for the first time in 1968. Extremely rare. Comes with a letter of the FIFA secretary general Dr. H. Käser. He states that there had not been a generally accessible pin yet and that there would be one soon. The collector had strived for a FIFA pin since 1958 (there is a copy of his letter) and there wasn't a needle even in 1967. The collector then received this first pin ever in 1968. Only a small edition had been produced. Up to now collectors had believed that there must have been an older general FIFA pin than the one made in 1968. Yet the correspondence between the collector and FIFA proofs that assumption was wrong. All FIFA needles that were produced prior to 1968 had been in relation to certain events (i.e. FIFA congresses) or that they were made for certain officies (like FIFA referee). Historical museum piece.
