A very rare original WWII Second World War Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army uniform beret and cap badge. Green beret, the badge of metal construction, with red painting, in the form of a tiger with ' Malaya ' to the bottom. Rare badge. The Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army was a group that was active during the Japanese occupation of Malaya from 1942-1945, and was comprised mainly of ethnic Chinese Guerrilla fighters.
The Railway Stations of the British Isles at a Glance, by W H Green - a charming 3 volume hand-written manuscript detailing and indexing all of the stations of Britain along with the companies using them, distances from London etc. Clearly a labour of love for its author, and presumably dating to the early 20th century. An incredible original WWI First World War era Tank Corp driver's ' splatter ' mask. Steel and leather construction, with metal eye shields, and chain mail chin cover. Padded leather to the inside, and canvas head straps present. A rare and interesting piece of First World War history. These masks were introduced in early 1917 to protect the crew from splinters caused by steel particles which flew around the inside of the tank as it was hit by projectiles.Note - due to the nature of this item, buyers are reminded for the need to satisfy themselves as to authenticity, accuracy and condition of items prior to bidding, irrespective of description.
A scarce original WWI First World War RFC Royal Flying Corps combat report. Dated 5th June 1917 SE.5 A8909, written by Captain P. B. Prothero and signed by him. The report refers to the downing of an enemy aircraft by Prothero, and reads, in part; 'I drew up to let Capt. Broadberry have a shot and when he pulled off I went in again and got about 40 rounds of Vickers and about 20 of Lewis into him from about one hundred yards range. HA went down with in a nose dive and continued on down, so I pulled off and crossed the line at about 2,000ft near Armentieres '. His signature follows. The document contains one hand-correct part where the Captain incorrectly refers to the aircraft as 'him'. A rare and unique part of aviation / WWI RFC history. Measures approx; 29cm x 19cm.

A rare and interesting folder of WWII Second World War POW Prisoner Of War related documents, all pertaining to a Second Lieutenant J. H. Thomas of the Duke Of Cornwall Light Infantry. Prisoner of War at Camp 356 and 366, in Kenya, after being captured by Italian Pioneers. The file includes; various receipts for monetary loans, a letter regarding his commission, statements of pay, a brief note mentioning an end to a Court Of Inquiry, makeshift contracts from the camp, and a host of other documents. Some 150+ items present.

The collection from the recipient - known only as 'Betty' - comprising; her War and Defence medal (with ribbons), a rare pair of insignia patches (unused), a photograph of Betty in full uniform (details written to verso, and signed to front 'All my good wishes - Betty'), and a very rare original ' ARP Controller ' enamel badge. A rare and original WWII Second World War British Royal Navy ' Salvus ' rebreather unit. Made by Siebe Gorman, the unit comes with its original oxygen tank and chest plate, along with a spare bottle. The canvas bag marked ' Salvus ' to front, and the top of the unit marked ' Siebe Gorman '. Often used by the British Navy to access the cockpits of downed aircraft to recover bodies / instruments. A rare piece of amphibian / breathing apparatus.

A rare original WWI First World War related ship's flag, from ' Ellen ' - a WW1 cargo ship. The ship was scuttled in the North Atlantic Ocean on July 18th 1917 by Imperial German Navy U-Boat U-155. All of the Norwegian crew survived, and it is presumed that this flag was taken by one of them upon leaving the ship. The flag being red and white, with red ' ELLEN ' lettering. 110cm x 270cm long. Rare and interesting flag.

Within a cloth bullion patch. Originality unknown, and buyer discretion is advised. Otherwise a rare badge from a short-lived Zeppelin project.

Recovered from BF-190 Messerschmitt E-4 of Jagdegschwader JG-27 during the North Africa campaign. The panel featuring partial nose art from the aircraft depicting a big cat and African child, all set within a white circle. Some loss the the right-hand edge. An incredibly rare original panel. An incredible pair of original local interest tickets from the ' First Flight Of The Concorde Prototype 002 ' at Filton Airfield, 9th April 1969. The tickets have been autographed to the rear by the full crew from that maiden flight, including Concorde test pilot Brian Trubshaw. The tickets and autographs were obtained by the husband-and-wife vendors who both worked at Filton, and watched the famous flight from the Filton Canteen (where the tickets allowed them to go). Ticket numbers 2199 and and 0500. Both tickets autographed by; Test Pilot Brian Trubshaw, co-pilot John Cochran, Flight Engineer Brian Watts and observers Mike Addley, John Allan and Peter Holding.Two rare and important pieces of not only Aviation history, but also Bristol history.
An incredibly rare original WWI First World War French ' Nail ' trench dagger / fighting knife. c1914. Steel construction knuckleduster handled dagger, set within its original and crudely constructed wooden scabbard with leather frog. Measures 32cm long in total. Rare piece of WWI weaponry. The French Nail were locally fabricated and converted bayonets, knives and stabbing weapons for use in the First World War. These were crude stabbing spikes made by adding a point to a steel stake which had its rearmost section heated and bent into a crude handle.
A rare, unique and poignant piece of WWII Second World War history - ' Edward ' - the teddy bear of Staff Officer Acting Temporary Captain C. R. Lamb of British No. 30 Commando Assault Unit, which was carried ashore the beaches of France on D-Day and kept with him until victory in 1945. Edward was kept safely tucked inside Lamb's Bergen backpack throughout his service. After the war, Lamb made sure to pin his three miniature medals to his companion's chest, where they have remained ever since. The medal trio comprising of the 1939-45 Star, Defense Medal and War Medal. The bear being a British made teddy, with wood wool stuffing, horizontally stitched nose and jointed limbs. Suffering some damage over time, including a repair to one arm. With Lambs' original '30' Commando uniform patch. The bear is void of all fur and comes 'well loved'. Measures approx; 40cm tall.No. 30 Commando, from 1943–1946 known as 30 Assault Unit, was a British Commando unit during the Second World War, originally formed to gather intelligence. Interestingly, one of the key figures involved in its organisation was Commander Ian Fleming (later author of the James Bond 007 novels). 30AU took part in D-Day and the subsequent Normandy Campaign. One detachment, code-named Pikeforce, landed on Juno Beach. Its major task on D-Day was the capture of a radar station at Douvres-la-Delivrande, north of Caen (although the defending Germans held out until 17 June).[2] Led by Squadron Leader David Nutting (RAF), a detachment code-named Woolforce (commanded by Colonel A. R. Wooley), landed at Utah Beach on D-Day plus 4, tasked with examining suspected German V-1 missile sites. 30AU also took part in the capture of Cherbourg. They launched an assault on Octeville – a suburb to the south west of port. This was the location of the Kriegsmarine naval intelligence HQ known as Villa Meurice which the Commandos captured along with 20 officers and 500 men.
