Aviation, a rare piece of aviation history. A fragment of the original Cody's Tree with certificate of authenticity. Samuel Franklin Cody (1867-1913) was the UK's pioneer aviator and would picket his aircraft to a tree in order to measure the thrust of his engines. By 1959 the tree was in poor condition and removed, this being a piece of that tree. The RAE apprentices cast an exact replica in aluminium which still stands in place today.

THE PINK FLOYD - SEE EMILY PLAY - US 7" PROMO (2ND PRESSING - TOWER 356 WITH PICTURE SLEEVE). Just as scarce 2nd US promo pressing of See Emily Play, this copy housed with the rare as hen's teeth picture sleeve. The styrene record is in Ex condition, the A side very clean showing only a couple of very fine and wispy markings, the B side with a few light surface markings that are never heavier. The fragile paper picture sleeve is in VG+ condition - there is some minor discolouration (almost impossible to avoid) with a couple of very small paper tears along the top edge.

AFFINITY - AFFINITY LP (1ST UK VERTIGO SWIRL - 6360 004). The extremely rare Linda Hoyle fronted album from Affinity (Vertigo swirl 6360 004) presented in fabulous condition. The record (large swirl) is in super Ex+ or 'NM' condition with just a couple of extremely faint and slight wispy markings only really noted under intense LED lighting. The gatefold sleeve is in Ex condition - a very clean example with the front and rear cover in superb condition, there is some light foxing on the inside. Complete with original swirl inner.

Phillips, author of "John Obrisset and His Work In Horn And Tortoiseshell 1705-1728" (B.T. Batsford Ltd., London 1931) where this box is illustrated in plate 94 (belonging to the Author), where it is described as Unique (See the following): Phillips" personal collection was sold by Sotheby & Co, 4th July 1934, this box being lot 77, where the footnote states "This is the latest known date on any specimen of Obrisset's work, the abbreviation Jun. after the name at the end of his career is also curious". It is also noted that the date in full, "December 14 1728", is "an unique feature".

A RARE VICTORIAN ELECTROPLATED BISCUIT BOX commemorating the exploits of the legendary Scottish explorer and Missionary Dr. David Livingstone, with elephant mask handles, Livingstone's portrait medallion on the front and a lion goring a man as a final on the cover, the front engraved with Livingstone and Henry Stanley at their fabled meeting on the right and a Missionary preaching scene on the left, the back engraved with Livingstone's funeral procession, with Registered Design lozenge, c.1873 (hinge pin A/F); 9.7" (25.5 cms) long *Livingstone's body was returned to Britain following his death from malaria in Africa in 1873. He was hailed a hero and was given a state burial at Westminster Abbey.

The contents are mostly QGC-worn and chipped but are complete, a few are GC for age, some tyres require replacing, some drivers look to be replacements. A good useful pack to upgrade. £200-300
