Especially the engraved title page and the copper engravings with partly backed tears and missing parts. Partly (finger-)stained. Browned due to the paper.

Bei einem der vorliegenden Exemplare "Vertrieb: Manfred Blunck" vermerkt. - Enthält: Nonnendose 2. In der Hand wärmen sie den Silbergatten. - Nonnendose 4. Manche Nonne trägt im Knie unterm Rock ein Genie. - Jede Papierrolle mit Gedichten zu Nonnen, die Strophen durch die Darstellung einer nackten Nonne unterteilt. - Insgesamt ordentlich erhalten. 2 parts (of 7 published). Each with 1 rolled sheet and 1 rolled title page listing all published boxes of nuns. In col. painted orig. cardboad tubes with mounted title label (in places somewhat soiled and rubbed). - Very rare first publication of the author (edition?). In KVK only available in the German National Library. There indicated for publication Hamburg, Quer-Verlag, 1966. One of the present copies mentions "Vertrieb: Manfred Blunck". - Each paper roll with poems on nuns, the stanzas divided by a depiction of a naked nun. - Overall good condition.

Von 1806 bis 1810 war er König von Holland. Der sogenannte "prince philosophe" veröffentlichte mehrere Werke, darunter Poesie und Prosa. Seine hier vorliegenden Oden erschienen erstmalig 1813 in Wien. - Mit einigen wenigen Korrekturen im Text. Vorsätze leimschattig. Wohl erhalten. With autograph dedication by Louis Bonaparte. Mottled cont. calf with gilt fillets and ornaments on spine, triple gilt edges (rubbed, spine with small defects). - Rare edition. - The dedication in the author's own hand, the signature most likely in another hand. Adams L1031. - Bohatta 1032. - Worldcat listet nur 2 Nachweise weltweit: New York Morgan Library (inkomplett) und NY Public Library, KVK listet nur ein Exemplar im MAK Wien. I. Zum Verleger: Kerver wirkte ab 1498 als Buchdrucker zusammen mit Georg Wolf und Jean Philippe. Etwa um 1500 arbeitete er allein in eigener Werkstatt, wo er eine größere Anzahl von Stundenbüchern (livres d'heures) nach dem römischen Ritus und viele klassische und humanistische Schriften (Horaz, Juvenal und andere) edierte. Für mehrere Verleger wie Jean Richard, Pierre Regnault und Gillet Remacle führte er Druckaufträge aus. In den Jahren 1511-1517 stand er auch mit dem Pariser Verleger Simon Vostre in geschäftlicher Verbindung. (Vgl. NDB, 11, 541.) II. Einige Blätter mit verwischten Kolorationen. Minimal fleckig, etwas gebräunt, insgesamt aber noch gutes Exemplar des seltenen Stundenbuchs mit schönen gratigen Abzügen von der Platte. I About the publisher: Kerver worked from 1498 as a book printer together with Georg Wolf and Jean Philippe. Some leaves with smudged colorations. Minimally spotted, a bit browned, but overall still a good copy of the rare Book of Hours with nice burr-like impressions from the plate.

Muther vermutete zahlreiche Holzschnitte nach Martin Schongauer. - Nur selten minimal fleckig, zum Ende hin am Rand minimale Wasserflecken, insgesamt aber gutes Exemplar der seltenen Vita. Muther suspected numerous woodcuts after Martin Schongauer - Only rarely minimally spotted, towards the end minimal waterstains in the margins, but overall a good copy of the rare vita.

Mit umfangreichen Abschnitten zur Arithmetik, Geometrie, Astronomie, Geographie, Optik und Statik bietet das Werk eine Gesamtdarstellung der Mathematik und ihrer Anwendungen. - Der Theologe und Mathematiker Johann Jakob Heinlin (1588-1660) war Pfarrer und ab 1654 Abt und Prälat im Kloster Bebenhausen als Nachfolger des mit ihm befreundeten Johann Valentin Andreae. 1621 war Heinlin Pfarrer in Oberriexingen. Hier wohnte Johannes Kepler einige Zeit bei ihm im Pfarrhaus und bot ihm die Möglichkeit, seine Kenntnisse in der höheren Mathematik zu vertiefen, so dass Heinlin ab 1635, nach Wilhelm Schickards Tod, für zwei Jahre dessen Professur für Mathematik und Astronomie an der Tübinger Universität übernehmen konnte. - Sehr gutes Exemplar. The astronomical turntable complete and perfectly movable. With extensive sections on arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, geography, optics and statics, the work offers an overall presentation of mathematics and its applications. - Good copy.
