1938 Triumph Tiger 3H Deluxe Reg.no. GFC 755 Frame no. TL 6421 Engine no. 8.3H11971 In 1936 Triumph motorcycles was acquired by the owner of Ariel and that same year the compaby began its first exports to the United States, which quickly grew into the company’s most important market. In the 1930’s Triumph produced a number of models, the 250cc, 350 (3H) and 500cc which were soon rationalised by general manager and chief designer, Edward Turner, into three sports roadsters, the Tigers 70, 80 and 90. The 3H is quite a rare bike today, due to its short production run and this is one of the best examples available. It was rebuilt to a very high standard five years ago, by Ted Arkle, who had had worked for Triumph for 38 years. This motorcycle has a V5c and a selection of bills supporting the restoration. Bidding is taking place on our sister site i-bidder.com  Click here to bid

Lot 1057

1928 Citroen 12/24 De Luxe Saloon Reg.no. Chassis no. 504968 Engine no. 4687 YK Andre Citroen was born and educated in Paris at the end of the 19th Century and was to rival the greats in car production. The company produced the first mass-produced fully equipped car in Europe ready for the road after WWI and this formed the basis for production throughout the 1920s. In 1926 Citroen opened a factory in Slough to produce the B12 model and a year later the B14 followed which was called the 12/24 in England. This car was originally registered DE 6455 on the 28th April 1928 in Pembrokeshire and this original registration number was recovered about five years ago. The car has since been resident in Ireland since 2009 and has now returned to the UK. This is a typical Citroen with comfortable ride anti-roll springs at the rear and scuttle petrol tank. The engine is a 1539cc side valve propelling a De Luxe four-door saloon with slam shut doors. We understand that this car was found in a barn in Sussex in the 1980’s and the car was rubbed down and re-painted in its original colours, with no repairs needed. The original engine was rebuilt in 2001 with minor repairs carried out. The electrics were converted to 12-volt which would have been essential when it competed in the 2006 Measham rally. It has also been used at several other VSCC events and such saloons are a rare sight indeed. There is very little paperwork with this car and it will require re-registering in the UK, following its time in Ireland. Bidding is taking place on our sister site i-bidder.com  Click here to bid

Lot 1059

1927 Austin 20/4 Ranelagh Limousine Reg.no. PN 22 Chassis no. 6P2 32S/4 Engine no. P5 15628 The Austin 20 was introduced in 1918 and continued in production until well into the 1930’s. In the 1920’s there were people who believed the four-cylinder Twenty comparable with if not superior to the equivalent Rolls-Royce. The Austin 20/4 range (as it became known after the introduction of the 6-cylinder model in 1927) included several saloon models such as the Mayfair, Carlton, Ascot and the top of the range Ranelagh. Amongst this range, some saloons were quite lofty and these unfairly gave the impression that all vintage Austin saloons were as such, however the Carlton, Ascot and Ranelagh were just 6’ 4” tall giving a real elegance to their appearance. These vintage Austins were highly regarded at the time giving years of service and value for money, as all Austins continue to do. Nothing can compare to the comfort and ride of a vintage Austin 20 saloon, with the added bonus of extra security. The Ranelagh was the flagship of the vintage Austin 20 range, with higher quality fittings, on the longer 11’4” chassis. This is certainly a highly impressive car that has been known to the Vintage Austin Register for many years, in long-term ownership with the Bidwell-Topham family. Prior to this the car had been owned by author J. Wilton on Jersey, of ‘White Star Line’ and ‘Titanic’. This car was little used between 1973 and 2007 but then fully re-commissioned by the current Austin enthusiast owner. There are a selection of letters and motor diaries confirming the cars history. PN 22 is an excellent example of both marque and model. A rare opportunity to acquire a rare Austin. Bidding is taking place on our sister site i-bidder.com  Click here to bid

Lot 1063

1978 MG B Roadster Reg.no. BYB 208S Chassis no. GHN5-458036G Engine no. 22161 The MG B was introduced in 1962 with new monocoque construction, which was an all-new concept that gave the benefits of lightness and handling qualities. The launch model was powered by a 1,298cc three bearing crankshaft engine and in 1964 this was replaced by a five bearing version which was to give the model better reliability. A large proportion of the 400,000 cars produced, are still roadworthy and enjoyed regularly. This example is a very low mileage car (approximately 35,000 from new) that has lots of history and bills including the original bill of sale, when it was supplied new by Foundry Garage in Mark, nr. Highbridge, Somerset. This garage obviously maintained the car in the early years as there are a selection of bills for general works carried out by the garage. Within the file are a selection of early tax discs and MOT certificates and later invoices relating to the fitting of a ‘lead-free’ cylinder head. The car was last MOT’d in 2008 and may require some gentle re-commissioning, although there are no known faults. To find such a low mileage car in this condition is rare and this is an opportunity to acquire a very good example of a fun British sports car. Bidding is taking place on our sister site i-bidder.com  Click here to bid

Lot 1075

1964 Austin Mini De-Luxe 850cc Reg.no. CVK 370B Chassis no. A/A2S75-611837A Engine no. AM-U-H789523 The history of this revolutionary motorcar is well known and its impact socially, culturally and mechanically is well documented. Following the Suez Crisis in 1956-57, little time was wasted in commissioning Alec Issigonis to begin work on a radical small car project. The brief was to house four adults plus their luggage within as small as space as possible. The Mini featured an ingenious transverse-mounted powertrain (with engine sat atop the gearbox, front-wheel drive and compact rack and pinion steering. This excellent example was recently removed from dry storage where it had been since 1987, and mechanically re-commissioned. This original factory paint example still retains its original biscuit trim and has a genuine low mileage of 22,247. The car is supplied with an old-style ‘Vehicle Registration Document’ and an MOT certificate valid for 12 months and paperwork that verifies the low mileage. A rare opportunity to acquire a very low mileage and original British icon. Bidding is taking place on our sister site i-bidder.com  Click here to bid

Lot 1086

1934 Rover Speed 14 Coupe with Salmons coachwork. Reg. no. BPE 752 Chassis no. 431026 Engine no. 431026 Rover’s Speed model offering was a 14/6 introduced in 1933, with a tuned 1,577cc ohv engine, with a high compression cylinder head and triple down draught bronze bodied SU carburettors, the new model was capable of 80mph. The Rover Speed Pilot was another marketing ploy by the company to attract a more discerning, up-market clientele. This is the second Speed Pilot that we have been favoured with offering for sale, but they are rare cars indeed. This example has been owned by our vendor since August 1969 which he purchased in Chipping Sodbury. We are told that the vendor drove it to Holyhead and then onto Dublin where it has been in the same private ownership ever since. We understand that the car was restored between 1998 and 2002. It now presents well with its green leather interior, and is a highly useable and presentable motor car. Bidding is taking place on our sister site i-bidder.com  Click here to bid

It is sold with its hand book, some service bills and the new V5c.   Estimate: £1,200 – 1,500 Bidding is taking place on our sister site i-bidder.com, click here to bid
