L0184-2223, 30-inch barrel with adjustable ladder rear sight and ramp fore sight, the receiver engraved with the retailer's details, P. Knight, 22 Corrington St, Nottingham, mounted with its B.S.A. Tippins patent folding aperture rear sight, full stocked with two barrel bands, long range sight, detachable box magazine, well figured stock with 13-inch pull, 9lb. 8oz., nitro proof. The rifle retains almost all of its original finish and remains in exceptional condition for a rifle of this type.
A Rare 17th Century Brass and Copper Shaker. The domed brass top having holes pierced to form a triangle with a flared rim above an iron scroll handle. The copper body having a bulbous lower half on a raised foot and a brass collar with a dog-tooth edge decorated with punchwork stars and s-scrolls. Standing 10 ins (25 1/2 cms) high.
A Rare & Macabre Early 17th Century Anthropodermic Bound Book in carrying box. The book entitiled; 'A True and Perfect Relation of The Whole Proceedings against the Late most barbarous Traitors, Garnet a Jesuit and his Confederats'; Printed London 1606 by Robert Barker, printer to the King and believed to be bound in human skin, possibly that of the aforementioned Jesuit Priest; Father Henry Garnet. The box having a rectangular handle to the centre with the corners having clusters of brass stud flowers, and the front having an iron clasp and lockplate, 11 ins x 7 1/2 ins x 5 ins (28 cms x 19 cms x 13 cms).
A Fabulous & Rare 18th Century Burr Figured Ash Bacon Settle, richly patinated and of pleasing proportions. The ogee moulded cornice above an upper compartment enclosed behind two panelled doors and standing proud of the principle cupboard below. This main cupboard having two twin fielded panel doors hung on H-form hinges enclosing hanging space. The shaped flat arm rests with outswept pad terminals on plank sides. The seat above two short and one long cock-beaded drawer raised on a plinth base. 71 ins (183 cms) tall, 41 ins (104 cms) wide and 22 ins (56 cms) deep.
A Rare Charles II Cedarwood Cushion Front Chest of Drawers of Diminutive Proportions. The top having a moulded edge above a decorative band of punched crossed and three long drawers divided by applied moulding. The cushion front drawers enhanced with geometric mouldings and fitted with brass pendant handles on petalled mounts with pierced lozenge escutcheons to each centre. Standing on square stile feet 31 ins (79 cms) high,32 ins (81 cms) wide and 26 ins (51 cms) deep.

Each having a high bent ash back-bow above nine slender splayed spindles and H-form side supports leading down to fine ripple grained figured birch seat and standing on round flared legs united by a H-form stretcher, 34 ins (86.5 cms) high, 19 ins (28 cms) wide and 18 ins (46 cms) deep.
A Rare 19th Century Doncaster Yew-wood Windsor Armchair conforming to the design of a Prior of Uxbridge chair although stamped thrice on the rear of the elm seat W. HEIGHAM CHAIR MAKER DONCASTER. The low hoop back having three shaped & fretted splats centred by turned roundels and alternated with plain tapered spindles. The wavy arms on crook supports pegged into the side of the seat with an incised line enhancing the edge. The baluster turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher.
A Rare Late 17th Century Child's Oak Chest of Drawers. The plank top measuring 27 1/2 ins x 19 ins (69 cms x 49 cms), with applied edge moulding above three geometrically moulded drawers fitted with brass drop handles & divided by horizontal strips of moulding. The base raised on stile supports standing 25 1/2 ins (64 cms) high.
A Rare Derbyshire Bobbin Turned Chair. The crescent shaped back rail carved with scalloped upper edges and adorned with turned pendant finials. The uprights having voluted scroll terminals and bearing applied split turnings, and united by a bobbin turned central rail. The planked seat framed in raised block rails, the turned legs joined by block stretchers. 41 ins (104 cms) in height, 19 1/2 ins (49 1/2 cms) in width.
A Rare Dutch Marquetry Coaching Table. The folding dropleaf top measuring 33 ins (84 cms). the fold-down triangular side inlaid with box wood double stringing border enclosing a central marquetry urn emanating flowers within v-shaped decorative acanthus leaves scrolling from beneath the urn. The side lifts to reveal the games table, having a central roundel inlaid with floral sprays and playing cards within corner roundels. Standing on double gatelegs of tapering fluted form and terminating on square moulded edge square feet.
A rare Meissen Hausmaler plate, painted in the manner of Franz Ferdinand Mayer with figures and a donkey in a landscape scene, the rim with flower sprays, acanthus leaf scrolls and a bird on a branch, the reverse with a crossed swords mark, and incised marks to the footrim. A small restored rim chip and a little wear to the gilding. c.1745, 22.5cm.
A rare Tunstall period New Hall fluted coffee pot and cover, painted with flower sprays beneath a narrow geometric border, the cover with an applied floral finial, and an associated cup and saucer in the same pattern, unmarked. Minor damages. c.1782-83, 26cm. (4) Cf. Geoffrey Godden, New Hall Porcelains, p.113 for a similar cup and saucer.
A rare Chelsea model of Hercules slaying the Lernaean Hydra, assisted by his nephew, Iolaus, who seals the neck stumps with a red hot brand, the bocage hung with the golden apples of the Hesperides, raised on a scrolled base, gold anchor mark. Damages and restoration. c.1760-65, 35cm. Cf. A similar model is in the Bearsted Collection at Upton House, Warwickshire. This is discussed in Elizabeth Adams, Chelsea Porcelain, p.166.
