Doulton Burslem, a group of rare Australian Federation 1091 commemoratives a large jardiniere sepia printed with garlands of roses and Australian wild flowers entitled "Australian Federation 1901", "May the union between the colonies and the motherland now cemented by their blood be for ever maintained" Joseph Chamberlain, 23cm high x 28cm wide, to include two Doulton Burslem fern pots, one in sepia and one in green. Australian Federation 1901 decorated with Australian garlands of fuchsias. Vignettes of Sir Edmund Barton, First Prime Minister of Australia and Queen Victoria flanked by a British and Australian soldier, 12.5cm high x 13cm wide. To include a Doulton Burslem Australian Federation 1901 commemorative mug printed in green, vignettes of Victoria and Edward VII, Victoria flanked by two soldiers, vignette of Australia's First Prime Minister, 8.75cm high x 8.5cm wide, painted factory marks (4)
A 9ct gemstone specimen pendant of Australian Tiger Iron tiger iron also called muggle stone is a blend of hematite, red jasper and tigers eye and is quite rare and only found in Marra Mamba in western Australia. The tiger iron is spectacle set and stamped 375, also comes with a 9ct belcher chain of approx 85cm, and approx 31.6gms, weight including pendant 48.8gms
A rare Alexander Ritchie cross and chain on the dedicated Alexander Ritchie website the cross is listed as the Iona Cross with a central boss of knotwork, this example has a facet cut piece of Iona marble set to the centre with intricate knotwork arms and ring with an attached double sided palmette designed chain with simple hook and ring fastening. A rare pair of period Worcester spittoons, decorated with autumn flowers and butterfly and with crescent mark to base. Height 10.5 cm, diameter 11.7 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: One vase is in very good order, no chips, cracks or restoration. The other has two chips to the foot, the largest being approximately 8 mm in length although when the vase is standing this is not visible at all. Generally it is in very good order.
A rare Worcester polychrome saucer, with landscape to centre and with birds and fruit to the moulded border. Diameter 13.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There are some minor paint flakes to the gilding at the rim and also signs of rubbing to the fruit on the rib but we can see no signs of any chips, cracks or restoration.
A rare Derby porcelain figure of Britannia, with oak tree bocage and shield with boar and lion, possibly a reference to The Bowes Lyon family. Height 28.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This lot has restoration to the top section of the helmet. Most of the leaves have losses and there are also a number of factory firing faults to the right hand ankle, approximately 5 mm, the right hand side of the figure and the rear of the shield where it joins to the skirt. Pair of Extremely Rare Antique Clichy Scramble Millefiori Vases. Each contains a colorful assortment of whole and partial complex Millefiori, including floret, six-point star, moss, quarterfoil, bulls eye, arrowhead and many more. Very colorful and complex. One signed with signature C cane, the other with signature C cane as well as a rarely seen "CLICHY" cane. Both with typical cracks associated with the manufacturer of such art glass vases. These vases are the only matched pair to be known in a private collection. A rare Merrythought Tummykins 1946, with blue and white mohair, orange and black glass eyes, black stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, hinged arms and legs with felt round hand pads and feet pads and printed label and Reg Design label on right foot - 12in. (30cm.) high (faded and discoloured, slight general wear) - Tummykins was the first bear produced by Merrythought after the 2nd World War for export only, he did continue in their range until around 1954, but are rarely found today
A rare Merrythought ‘1950s Teddy Bear’, with golden wool plush and white mohair face and chest, orange and black glass eyes, black stitched nose and W mouth, swivel head and jointed arms with brown felt pads and printed white label on foot - 16in. (41cm.) high (slight fading) - it appears that Merrythought have no records of this bear and the only reference found are when he was made as a replica in 2001 and marketed as ‘1950s Teddy Bear’
