A rare, British made, pre war, Walt Disney Mickey Mouse clockwork car by Wells. Mickey drives with Minnie behind and Pluto at the rear who swings from side to side as the car moves forward on an off set rear axle. All sides are decorated with pictures of Donald Duck, Mickey and Clarabelle Cow. The working clockwork motor is a simple pair of large diameter thin cog wheels and wire coiled spring, balloon tin plate wheels and tyres, minor knock to canopy, lacks head lights. 'By permission Walt Disney - Mickey Mouse Ltd' to rear. 'Made in England' to left hand side. Full length 5". Note, only a handful of these toys are known. Condition report: The clockwork works.
