Breast Star, gilt Silver, 85 mm, central medallion gilt silver, enameled, horizontal pin. An extremely rare set, of modern manufacture, awarded by King Leka, in mint condition! I RR!"
Neck Decoration from the late 19th Century, 47 mm., GOLD, blue enamel, with separately made crowns and centre medallion with the finely chiselled Prussian eagle, the royal monograms and the motto, with finest chiselwork, original oval ring.A piece most probably made by the court jewellers Hossauer, in the best quality and with fine patina and in extremely fine condition. The “civil†class of the Pour le Mérite was instituted by the King ofPrussia Friedrich Wilhelm IV in 1842, after the proposal of Alexander von Humboldt and became one of the most prestigious and exclusive awards for merits in the field of Sciences and Arts. The order, as a foundation exists also now. The pieces before 1918 and especially those from the 19th Century, aremost rare.

Collar Badge, 87 mm, gilt Silver, both sides enameled, both central medallions GOLD, enameled, original suspension ring, collar made of segments of alternating lions of England, Maltese crosses and the ciphers SM and SG, in gilt silver and enamel. An Early Commander’s Badge of the Order in gold with centre medallion made as a cameo with the portrait of the young Queen Victoria facing left;pale blue enamelled outer circlet with the Order’s motto “HEAVEN’S GUIDE OUR LIGHT†made of chiselled silver letters, all set with brilliants; goldborder with baroque ornaments five-pointed star suspension in silver, plain, gilt-silver ribbon ring, with original neck ribbon.A very rare badge of the finest quality, extremely fine condition.The Order of the Star of India was created in 1861 by Queen Victoria, several years after the Indian Mutiny, when Britain’s power and government inIndia were again solid and well-established. It was destined to reward Indian Princes and Chiefs as well as British Officers and Civil Administrative who saw their service in India and were signalled for their conspicuous merits. Diplomatically, the first award was done to the heads of the Indian Maharajas and Princes and to the highest British authorities in India. After 1948, no further award was granted. Since 2009, with the death of the last Knight, the Maharaja of Alwar, the Order became dormant.

Neck Badge, 80x46 mm, gilt Silver and white enameled cross with a gilt laurel wreath and crossed swords between the arms, centre medallion with red enameled detail and an applied, royal crown, granulated reverse, with the date "1915" sided by the further two dates "1863" and "1913", original neck ribbon with ties. 4pointed Breast Star, 75 mm, with smooth silver rays, maker's mark "Spink & Son, London",superimposed with the order's badge with swords in gilt silver, the reverse with vertical, broad pin and two hooks, in original case of issue. Breast Star, 94 mm, with Silver rays, the centre, with the order's badge, with enameled details, the reverse, with maker's escutcheon of Lemaitre, Paris, broad pin (French marks) and two hooks. An extremely rare set, in the best French quality, extremely fine condition. This Order, of which is not known a date of institution, is not connected to the Greek State, but directly awarded by the Head of the Greek Orthodox Church, is kept in the highest consideration and importance, it is awarded to highest personalities, in recognition of outstanding merits in the defence of Christianity.
