A Rare Italian Brass Casket, the lid embossed with the Three Bees Ducal Coronet of the Barberini Family, Florence. The sides depicting grotesque masks within an oval frame amidst leafy sprays. The front panel embossed with a fanned leaf pierced by the key hole and flanked by scrolls bordering two birds, upon a punchwork ground. 4 ins (10 cms) in height, 6 ins (15 cms) wide, 4¼ ins (11 cms) deep.
A Rare 19th Century Red Walnut Crofter's Rocking Chair composed of two shaped side boards pierced and wedged with a series of round crossbars forming the back and seat with a shaped plank head rest screwed into the through tenon joined top rail and further through jointed rails to the base. Standing on rockers 40 ins (102 cms) high, 19¼ ins (49 cms) wide.
A Rare Late 17th/Early 18th Century Domed Topped Cassone. The front having a shaped iron lock plate and hasp with swing carrying handles to the sides, and of particular interest; highly decorative & intricately cut dovetailing to the corners. 25 ins (64 cms) high, 41 ins (104 cms) wide and 22 ins (56 cms) in depth.
A Rare 16th Century Carved Oak Plank Coffer. The single piece lid with moulded edge on iron staple hinges. The coffer front enriched with carved geometric flower heads incorporating petals of cross-hatching and quatrefoils, with an iron lock-plate to the centre. Standing on ogee-arch cut end boards, 25½ ins (65 cms) high, 50 ins (127 cms) wide and 13½ ins (34 cms) deep.
A Rare 17th Century Oak Chair-Table. The round planked top/back inscribed with the owners initials; E.H and dated 1668. The shaped bracket supports pivoted to the seat with knopped pegs, the arms incised with wispy scrolls and chipe carved rosette whorls to the terminals above short column turned supports. The engrailed box seat with a butterfly hinged lid above a lunette carved rail and a panel of flower-headed C-scrolls. The top measuring 33 ins (84 cms) in diameter. 25 ins (63 cms) high, 20 ins (51 cms) wide, 18 ins (46 cms) deep. A Rare 18th Century Oak Longcase Clock inscribed Edw. Hon. Bishops Lydeard, and having an unusual musical movement striking seven bells. The brass chapter ring with matted centre housing a subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, with three holes and bordered by pierced cast brass spandrels. The oak hood with ovolu moulded cornice above a glazed door flanked by columns with gilt capitals. The case having a good colour & patination and a long trunk door above a base with moulded edge. 75 ins (190 cms) in height, 21 ins (53 cms) wide, 11 ins (28 cms) deep.
A Rare Charles II Longcase Clock. The 10 inch (25.5 cm) square brass dial signed Tho Power-de-Wellinborow Hoc=Fabricauit and engraved with a rose & flowers to the centre encircled by a silvered chapter ring with foliate engraved spandrels. The thirty hour movement striking a bell, with verge escapement & bob pendulum housed in a restored black painted pine Palladian style case. The apexed hood with applied gilt brass wreath and a glazed door flanked by barley twist columns. Raised on bun feet 75 ins (191 cms) high. 15½ ins x 8½ ins (39.5 cms x 21.5 cms).
A Rare Early 17th Century Italian Oval Drop-leaf Table. The silhouette cut plank supports housing deep drawers with moulded fronts and bearing the stamp VM. Standing on sledge feet joined by two long stretchers. 31 ins (79 cms) in height, 62 cms (157 cms) wide, 51½ ins (131 cms) deep. [By repute once owned by General Narbaez of Granada].
A Rare & Important 18th Century Burr Walnut 'Act of Parliament' of Tavern Clock. The large dark-green painted dial 18 inches (46 cms) in diameter, with gilt chapter ring signed Finch, London, bordered by a scotia moulded frame with ogee brackets at each quart. The case with a cock-beaded edge, centred by a quarter veneered & cross banded door with lip moulding and measuring 44½ ins (113 cms) in height, 27 ins (56 cms) in diameter, 8 ins (20 cms) in depth.
A Rare 17th Century Inlaid Oak Buffet. The top with a moulded edge above a geometrically inlaid frieze divided by protruding pyramidal appliqués. The two panel doors flanking a central recessed panel enriched with mother of pearl & bone flowers and an octagonal border highlighted with raised triangular corners and framed within deeply carved egg & dart moulding highlighted with punch-work. The uprights bearing split-turned spindle appliqués and checkered inlay above a guilloche carved edge. The open lower section fronted by large cup & cover legs with a lobed collar and palmate carving. The lower four plank shelf raised on plain rails. A Rare & Important Gothic Domed Top Coffer, of fine colour & patination. The six plank lid with raised run- moulding joined by original iron straps, hinged at the top. The front having four Gothic tracery panels, enriched with rosettes and leaf & bud spandrels and an iron lock-plate with stylised dentil moulded borders. The twin fielded panel sides having iron twisted carrying handles. Standing on stile feet 35 ins (89 cms) high, 51½ ins (131 cms) wide, 21½ ins (55 cms) deep.
A Rare 17th Century Inlaid Wainscot Chair of good colour & patination. The crested top rail carved with twinned s -scrolls enriched with punchwork above a winged cherub head and flanked by triangular finials above shaped ear-pieces. The back having a rectangular panel inlaid with the inscription AD 1640 and bordered by a deep chip carved moulding. The central dog-tooth inlaid rail above two intricately carved panels of flowering plants. The down swept arms enhanced by zig-zag punchwork above the plank seat on flattened ball turned legs united by block stretchers.
A Fabulous & Rare 14th Century English Oak Misericord probably originating from the West Country and carved with a depiction of Adam Delving with spade & Eve Spinning Yarn illustrating the mediaeval Rhyme: 'When Adam delved and Eve Span, Who was then a gentleman'. The figures standing below a stem issuing a pendant leaf. The whole having a fine rich colour & patination. 11½ ins (29 cms) in height, 14 ins (36 cms) in width. The leaf supporter being very similar to those misericords found in Ripple Cathedral Gloucestershire. [See Bond Francis Misericords Oxford 1910, page 125 etc., Also C.F Misericord Bristol. op.Cit, page 71 for a similar male pose].
An Exceptionally Rare and Fine 14th Century English Oak Carving; Head of God the Father wearing a crown with his hands raised in blessing, 20¼ ins (51.5 cms) in height. Formerly in the Collection of Sir John Howard-Lawson of Corby Castle, Cumbria. [A very similar example can be found in Exeter museum, also illustrated in 'Mediaeval Church Art' by Edward G Tasker, Page 92 plates 4.2 and 4.3].

Interesting French portico white marble two train clock, the movement with rare Lepaute escapement, outside countwheel and striking on a bell, the 4.25" dial with silvered chapter ring and engine turned centre signed Thouverez a Paris, within a stepped case applied with a vase and floral mouldings and surmounted by a stepped pediment and dentil cornice, 21.75" high
