Lot 145

Kawasaki Z1300 Fuel Injection 1984 Low Miles - One of only 3 models of mass produced 6 cylinder motorcycles. The Kawasaki Z1300 was the only one that offered water cooling and shaft drive, then eventually digital fuel injection. If you had one of these back in the 80’s you were a lucky person!“B999” has been tucked away in a private collection for a good few years and was last taxed for road use in 1987, (although it was last MOTd in 2010) With just under 12000 miles recorded on its odometer and in a condition that would lend credence this low miles. Apart from brand new stainless steel exhaust being recently fitted by the vendor it is original and very rare to see in the red.Cosmetically in a good condition and the engine runs well, but as with all bikes that have stood, we recommend a level of recommissioning prior to usage. They will never make bikes like these again and as Japanese classics like the Z13’s smaller brother the Z900 whose prices have now hit 20,000 pounds for a good one, Z1300 values are following suit.

Lot 118

Fiat 500D “Suicide Door” Museum Quality!! 1963 - One of four superb cars entered by the same vendor and only now available due to a change of direction in his purchases, this stunning, ultra-desirable, 1963 Fiat 500D with its rare forward opening “Suicide Doors” is described as “Museum Quality”!!This “500” has been “sympathetically restored” using all the correct period parts and the end result is what you see today , the result is beautiful or maybe it should be ” Bellissimo” to be correct. The end result is an exterior that is in fantastic condition with no rust or marks, bear in mind this was never a rusty hulk to begin with, just a car that needed a little tlc here and there. The interior is also superb and needing no more work, all in a great condition and period correct. While having the cosmetics attended to the mechanics were also checked over, anything that needed doing was done including a service to the engine. A new generator was fitted as it showed low charging and now this rare 500 stops, starts and drives perfectly. The vendor has set all areas of the car as “Excellent” and you know what? We agree with him. With a current UK MOT through to February 2018 this little 500 is ready for a new home.

Lot 195

Jaguar XJS 5.3 V12 CONVERTIBLE 1989 - F6 XJS is a lovely example of Jaguars superb XJS Convertible that was first registered 1st of August 1989. In the following 26 years only traveling 54,500 miles and spending the last 6 of them as part of a private collection.Exterior paintwork is very nice with no rust or damage, the silver paintwork shines nicely and all the chrome work is in very good condition. The contrasting black hood is the fully electric type, in full working order and in good condition. Coming with the car are the hard to find tonneau cover and stowage bag for when hood is down.Interior, like the exterior, is in very good condition with its leather and wood trim in very good order throughout. Jaguar really did make the cabins of these cars a very nice place to be.Under that long sleek bonnet lives one of the best British engines of its time, Jaguars silky smooth but powerful fuel injected 5.3 litre V12. Almost silent when running until you press the throttle pedal, then the note changes and the scenery outside slides past very quickly, no fuss. With the roof down on a sunny day and a nice A road in front, these cars are a pleasure to own and drive. With the Engine, Gearbox, Electrics and General Mechanics all being described as “very good” by the vendor, loads of service history and paperwork from over the years, all the old MOT’s back to 1992 and a current MOT through till November this year, this Jag is ready to go. Prices are on the up now for nice examples such as this and it is now rare to find one in this order with the low reserve the vendor has set. So whether a collector, a speculator or someone looking for a beautiful classic, in our opinion this car tics all the boxes.

Lot 102

Launched in late in 1994 was Jaguars new XJ Range or “X300” the first to be done under the company’s new Ford ownership. While on the outside it looked fairly different to its predecessor the “X40”, underneath it was more of an evolution. But in amongst the various options available was a first for Jaguar, a “super-charged” version of their superb straight six 4 litre engine that with its Eaton M90 supercharger and an air-water intercooler was quoted as producing a very healthy 322 brake horse power, enough to get it from 0 – 60mph in sub 6 seconds! The “X306” XJR6.This particular Margch 1996 example has been off the road in a doctor’s garage since apx. 2011 but now with a new battery is running beautifully and will have a new MOT prior to being sold. Unfortunately one problem it does have and common to these cars, is the pixels on the Odometer reading and clock have deteriorated to the point it makes the mileage covered hard to read. You can see its 90 something thousand and the mileage at its last MOT was 93155, in fact all its MOTs are listed back to 2006 where it had only covered 65859 miles, so not a high miler for sure. The Interior is very good and points again to its low recorded mileage. Just the driver’s outer side seat back bolster showing signs of duress. Otherwise the leather has survived very well indeed and you get that lovely air of quality when sat inside that so many other companies try so hard to replicate but somehow just don’t get it right? The electrics all appear to function, 4 way electric windows, heater blower, electric front seat etc. Even the original stereo is still in place and working along with its electric aerial.Body work is good but never having been restored there are areas where the lacquer on the paint has thinned from excessive polishing, mainly on the boot lid. Some dinks and marks here and there but very little rust and still looks great! The special alloys the “R” came with are very good, in fact the spare looks brand new!The engine? Well that’s as silky smooth as the day it left the factory with the 4 speed “switchable” Automatic box it is coupled to, changing gear seamlessly. Oil pressure is very good, temperature sits just on the normal mark and does not move. In fact if it was not for the Rev counter, on tick over with the windows closed, you would think it had stalled! Press the throttle and no being thrown back in the seat like a turbo charged car does, just an instant increase in power, no lag, just a constantly increasing “push” until the box changes gear, then off you go again.General mechanics and electrics are all good and as said will be up to or past the MOT requirements. Cars such as this just could not be available for such little amounts of money for much longer in fact values are now up and will continue in that direction we are sure. With only 6500 “XJR’s” being built over a 4 year production run, this is already a rare car!NOTE: New MOT in place and the vendor tells us it had 4 new tyres fitted.

Lot 122

Reliant Scimitar GT SE4C 1967 - 3 Litre V6 Essex Ford, 4 speed manual gearbox with working overdrive on 3rd and 4th.This stylish British Sports Coupe has been restored and brought back to its former glory with stunning metallic grey paint work, 5 1/2 J steel rims with quality tyres all round, overhauled engine and braking system, twin stainless steel exhausts with a lovely throaty sound plus new battery, hoses etc, etc.The interior has a new headlining and carpets, refurbished black interior trim plus all new rubbers. This vehicle has a large history file including old MOTs and lots of receipts plus the original Scimitar GT Coupe handbook and workshop manual.77,000 miles recorded with only 3 previous owners, Mot until November 2017 and benefiting from free historic road tax. With it’s great shape and styling, this rare coupe has excellent investment potential. A true classic in very good condition ready to be driven and enjoyed.

Lot 110

Fiat 500D “Transformabile” 1964 - Back in 1960 Fiat launched the Fiat 500D as a replacement for the outgoing model the Nuova 500. While retaining the outgoing models “suicide doors” they decided to replace the full length folding roof with one that only folded halfway, apart from that is on the rare model they called the “Transformable” making this model particularly sought after and very collectable today. Here we have a lovely example. Built in 1964 and restored approximately 10 years ago by an Italian Coachbuilder in Italy who rebuilt the engine, the interior and painted the body. Today the paint work is still very presentable with only minor imperfections. In fact all the original glass is still in place and is clear with only very fine hairline marks. All exterior trim is present, correct and in good condition and complimented by new chrome bumpers. The interior is still in great condition and it even the original over mats are present with only light marks. The engine starts with no hesitation, settles down to a nice even tick over and when on the road pulls cleanly, making the most of the 17hp that its 499cc produces. All the electrics work correctly and the overall mechanics are described as very good and there is a current UK MOT until 21st April 2017.Having watched and seen what other examples have sold for, this car is being offered with a very reasonable reserve and would complement any collection while increasing in value year on year.

Lot 143

Honda 50 AC15 “Dream” Race replica with ultra low miles - Do you ride it or put it on the wall, it is after all as pretty as a picture??These diminutive 50cc Honda Motorcycles, named a “AC- 15 Honda Dream” were produced for one year only, 1997/8 to commemorate the successful 1962 Honda CR110 single cylinder racer. Not only was the production run a very short one but they were only produced for the Japanese Domestic Market and as such were never an “officially” imported bike elsewhere, making them a very rare thing and an instant collector’s piece. This particular bike is as good as new with only 26 Kilometres (16 miles) on the odometer. It was first registered new in the UK in March 2001 by a motorcycle shop that did not resell until 2005 so you can only surmise it was on show. From then a company owned it prior to the vendor that put it into his private collection, which is where it stayed, still with just the one previous keeper ( the bike shop) showing on the V5.Honda really pulled out all the stops with this bike, even designing a rarely seen configuration single cylinder engine with double over-head cam shafts, a double tube frame and disc brakes front and rear. Toped of with the one of tank, tail piece and dropped bars to replicate the original racer. As you can see the bike is just about as good as new with just a very slight ageing on things like the spokes, maybe the tiniest mark here and there, it is effectively nearly 20 years old after all. It will need to be recommissioned if you want to use it or just get the no more nails out!A very rare opportunity to buy such a low mileage example and super collectable and one that will make you smile every time you look at it.

Lot 200

Douglas T35 Mark 3 “Sports” 350cc 1948 - With only 842 of these rare “Sports model T35 MK3 Douglas 350’s made during an 18 month production run (1948/49) this very nice example has survived very well. To be in this condition it has to of been restored at some point in its life but has retained a large number of its original components, this is a rare “Numbers Matching” machine.Unfortunately the current owner/vendor knows nothing about the bike as it came to him combined with other vehicles and the V5 log book has been mislaid, this will have to be applied for by the new owner. We can confirm that its registration number is listed with the correct details on the DVLA web site so it will be a simple application and cost £25. It does however have a tax disc dated 2010 so you could surmise that it was in use then, now on Sorn and has been since. It was first registered in September 1948 but DVLA have its year of manufacture as 1947. Its chassis number denotes it as the 377th Mk3 to of been built out of a total run of 2314 including the 842 sports models produced. As the sports model numbers ran in with the non-sports models, there is no way of telling exactly how early in the run it was. As a side note this “Sports” version, with its longer duration cam shafts and better breathing carburettors, was officially the fastest 350cc machine available at the time.As previously said its overall condition is very good and looks to need nothing, we have not tried to start it so an amount of recommissioning will need to be done prior to use. This bike represents a rare opportunity to buy a numbers matching 1948 Douglas motorcycle, especially as nice as this one.Value? Who knows, prices and values of these lesser known British Motorcycle brands are all up massively now, as Norton, Triumph, Vincent etc values explode. So a good investment opportunity for sure.

Lot 129

Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 11 1979 - This beautiful piece of British engineering was ordered when new by the Rolls Royce main dealer in Hong Kong, M. D. Motors. They had it built for their client and as the island still under British rule then, it was built to UK Spec and shipped out to them. While in Hong Kong, M.D.Motors continued to service the car for this owner right up till 1999 when he returned to the UK and bought the car back with him, at this point the car had only covered 33000 miles (it’s a small island Hong Kong). Now back in the UK he had the car serviced by his local Rolls Royce specialists up to when the vendor bought it, with only 42000 miles on the clock! The V5 still only shows the one owner since re-importation and the condition of the car is backed up by a massive history file from new. What can be said about a 37 year old Rolls Royce with only 42000 miles on the clock? It is obviously in an excellent all round condition and the photos do not do it justice. Paint work is next to flaw less with no signs of repairs or damage. The Cardinal red it is finished in is complimented very nicely by the pale sandy brown of its leather interior, The first thing you notice when you open the doors is not only the superb condition of the seats, both front and rear and that smell you only get in an older quality, but the quality of the wood dash and door capping’s and their lack of cracking, very rare especially on the dash. They have that lovely well-polished look that only comes over time and you lose if refinished. The front seats have the rare optional head rests fitted. Move into the back and it’s the same beautiful condition with the foot rests in place still, look up and the leather headlining appears to be unmarked. The vendor says that when he drove it back nearly 350 miles the only thing he could fault the car on was it seemed to have a slight “patter” at speed, this was traced to one tyre being out of true so all four were replaced with the right Avons, not a cheap alternative and normal service was resumed. It now drives as it should. All aspects of the car are described as very good, with only the electric aerial not working. The motor turns so probably just a new internal mast required. The service history on this car is like a book, cataloguing its life from the original order from the Hong Kong dealership, its bill of sale, letters from the shipping company, bills, receipts and invoices for work done and when done, to all its hand books, old MOTs and will have a new MOT prior to sale . Truly a full history, one owner, very low mileage Rolls. A rare find indeed!Sorry for the poor pictures but the car was blocked in on the day we visited. They do not do it justice.

Lot 204

AMC Rebel Convertible 290 V8 Auto RIGHT HAND DRIVE!! 1967 - The AMC “Rambler” Rebel is a rare bird indeed. Coming from one of the smallest producers of cars in the States and only made for two years as a Convertible 1967 and 68. A mere 1686 were made. Now throw in that this example is a Right Hand Drive car! Yep getting rarer but I hear you say “They were made as knock down kits in Right Hand Drive form, shipped to Australia and New Zealand where they were reassembled using some local content”. Ok and this car has the twin dial dash that all Australian and NZ cars had, unlike the single rectangular clock dash the Left hookers had. The fly in the ointment with that is that according to all the books ALL of the RHD cars were 4 door Hardtops. The vendor has come across the odd comment or reference over the years that mention one or two convertibles may have gone as kits to Australia, but there is no official line on this. Either way this car is damn rare! The 67 Convertibles were the only year to carry the “Rambler” name and all were built as the top spec SST versions with power hoods and split front seats. Another rare item is the engine in this car is a 290 V8 while the vast majority of RHD cars in 67 had a straight six? It also has the optional power steering.Having been bought by the vendor just over 3 years ago with a view to getting it back to show standard, it was unfortunate for the car but not the vendor, that about then his business took off and for the next three years it has sat, barely turning a wheel. Now, although the engine runs well, the electrics work, the power hood on is in good shape and fully operational and the car drives, it is being offered as a project car that will need some work and re-commissioning prior to being road worthy and to get it to show quality. There is no MOT on the car but there is some history and paperwork. What an opportunity for someone to own what could well be a one of a kind, power hooded convertible, late sixty’s muscle car!!

Lot 144

Norton 750 Atlas 1963 “Cafe Racer” - Now if you are reading this, the likely hood is you were of an age in the sixties when you either walked round in tight fitting trousers and a Parka style jacket and rode small two stroke Italian motorcycles with ten inch wheels or you spent most of your time hanging around outside places like London’s “Ace Café” in jeans and a leather jacket trying to look like Marlon Brando. If you fit into the latter category then your bike of choice might well of looked like this 1963 Norton Atlas .From its “dropped bars” through the skinny alloy tank and its single seat with bum stop, it just looks right. Originally designed for the American market, to satisfy their lust for big cc motors (the Atlas name, apparently, came from the name of America’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) its 750 cc twin engine was mounted in Norton’s legendary “Featherbed” frame. Giving the engine a frame that handled as well as it went. With only 5 keepers and having spent the last few years in a private collection, it will need some amount of recommissioning. Condition is lovely if you want something that is a useable bike. There are some marks etc on it but that is what makes this particular bike look so right in our opinion.Long overshadowed by the single cylinder bikes from Norton, these big twins are now coming into their own, being a third of the price helps! But with very few new examples coming to market, values are now moving upwards quickly so this bike represents a rare opportunity to own one at a sensible price. Plus you can dress up like Marlon Brando but that’s another story!

Lot 164

Austin Mini Mayfair 1986 One Owner From New!! NO RESERVE - Once more we here at ECCA are proud to of been trusted by the family of the owner of “Molly” the Mini, to offer her for sale through our Auction house. This One Owner from new Mini was owned by their mother and used right up to 2014 when unfortunately she became unfit to drive and had to go into a residential home. After much soul searching, remember the family spent their formative years in this little car, it was decided to offer it via auction with “No reserve” and let the market establish a true value. Molly herself had covered only 47059 miles when we first met her tucked up in a nice dry garage. We put fresh petrol in, a set of jump leads on and off she went! Hardly surprising though as her comprehensive history shows that the last time she was driven was 11.02.14 when a service and MOT was carried out at 47054 then the garage drove her back home. A staff member drove the 10 miles or so back to our storage bay and she never missed a beat. Engine is quiet and pulls well, gearbox and clutch are great, brakes work etc etc etc. Electrics are all good but a new battery will be required. The history for this Mini is complete, including its original service book up to 18000 by the selling dealer then Peach Motors a local independent garage the rest of its life. MOTs go back to 2007 and prior to that the receipts show yearly MOT’s carried out along with an annual service, so mileage is totally traceable and correct. Along with the service book is a complete set of hand books, owner’s manuals and a workshop manual. We have decided to present the car “exactly” as discovered so you can judge just exactly how genuine it is. Yes the rear bumper needs to be replaced and there is the odd patch of corrosion here and there. But no damage on the bodywork, the original dealer sticker and number plates are still in place and all the interior needs is a good clean and some fresh carpet in the drivers foot well (heels eh don’t you just love ‘em. Carpets don’t I know!). The choice though is to restore to new or just re-commission and use?? A very rare find and here to sell to the highest bidder.

Lot 186

Autobianchi Bianchina “Panoramica” 1959 - Incredibly rare especially in such original condition is this cute Fiat powered Autobianchi Bianchina “Panoramica” or “Estate” as we know it. Over the years while still in Italy, some minor renovations have taken place to the exterior but it is still substantially all original with no rust or dents. The paintwork itself has a good shine and no major imperfections. Have a look inside and you will see an original interior that is in very good order especially when you consider its 58 years old!!The engine runs sweetly with no known faults and has recently been serviced here in the UK. Surprisingly the Fiat 500 engine these cars use, pulls it along down the road quite happily and the gearbox operates smoothly, all be it with no synchromesh between the gears as standard. All the electrics and general mechanics on the car are good with new tyres and brakes being recently fitted. Being a 1959 car there is no road tax to pay and no MOT required but this car has been checked over to bring it up to a safe standard to use. So if you are looking for a collectable car that you can use and one that you will not see another of if you go to a show, then this one has got to be considered.

Lot 212

Jaguar XJC 4.2 “Coupe” 1978 - XEA 707 S was first registered 6th of January 1978 and comes with previous MOTs dating back to 1985 when mileage was 71,423.Now still with only 97558 showing, has only covered a further 28,000 miles in 37 years. Along with the old mots there is a file full of invoices showing over 10,000 pounds has been spent getting this car right in the last 10 years. Below is a summary of this work.In 2007 the car was recommissioning after being in storage for 10 years. Had new cylinder head, new fuel lines, carb reconditioned, new points, plugs and condenser. New brake pipes. New front brake Callipers, n/s rear wheel bearing. Overhaul rear brake callipers. New coil, Fuel filter, water pump new hoses, Fuel filter, Viscous fan.Manual choke fitted in 2011.Replacement off-side fuel tank, door seals, washer pump, uv joints, top front suspension joints, lower front suspension joints, rear brake discs and pads, handbrake pads, shock absorber bushes, alternator, off-side rear wheel bearing, 4 tyres in 2012.In 2013 – distributor cap and plug leads recon carb, new plugs, Header tank, electric aerial, speedo cable. The car was collected and driven back from Cornwall last year and drives faultlessly. The fuel gauges have stopped working recently, everything else works as it should. The vendor does say that although bright, shiny and straight there are areas of the paintwork that could be improved, plus a couple of the rear side window seals have failed and need replacing, if you want to make it a show car? If not then leave it as is and you will have a very nice driving, good looking car. With a current MOT through to January next year, this rare and very sought after “Big Coupe” is ready to go.

Lot 131

MGB GT 1979 Manual with Overdrive - This nice and unusual in white, MGB GT was last used when it participated a European road Rally which it completed without a problem, then on its return home it was parked in a garage which is where it has been since 2008.Overall the body work is very good, nice and straight with only minor areas that could be improved on and in no way to be mixed up with the rusty hulks often offered for sale. Its solid condition you would think, is due in the main by the anti-rust treatment this car has had, the presence of anti-rust treatment plugs in the holes they drill to fill the chassis doors etc with treatment proving this. It is equipped with a rare Webasto slide back vinyl roof which does have two small splits, one each side where it folds, but is still serviceable and looks to be the original.Interior is good with the original seat covers in place. There are no nasty rips etc but there are some marks from where items had been stored in the car, these may clean. Roof lining is very good, as is the dash that has no damage at all, the floor carpets are good as well. Mileage on the clock reads 85387 and looks like it could be original, but with no history there is no proof of this. There is however, a very nice “Moto-Lita” steering wheel in place. This was fitted prior to the European trip and that is the only use it has had.Mechanically the engine and box are both good, with the engine showing very good oil pressure even when hot. The general mechanics are good with brakes etc working and all the electrics function properly. To sum up, this is not a show car but one you can use and improve as you go, or just leave it alone and just enjoy owning one of Britain’s favourite and much loved classic cars. With prices on these “Rubber Bumper” models now heavily on the up, it’s refreshing to have a running driving solid car being offered at a sensible reserve.

Lot 154

Porsche “Junior” Tractor 1959 - This superb 1959 Porsche Tractor is guaranteed to make you smile, whether you are an avid collector of agricultural machinery, a lover of old cars or a 10 year old lad or lass holding its parents hand at our auction. Come on its cute admit it!Porsche like fellow supercar maker Lamborghini, owe their heritage to much humbler beginnings. Dr Ferdinand Porsche started tractor design and production in the early 30’s, his remit was to produce a range of tractors that were very advanced but would be “The Peoples Tractor”, solid, reliable and easy to maintain, sound familiar? This example is a 1959 “Junior” with a single cylinder diesel engine, complete with hand throttle and brake, rear power output, sprung drivers seat and electric start. This tractor has not been restored and in fact was in use up to a couple of years ago. Press the key in, give it some throttle, push the start button and off it goes, well chugs. All three forward and the reverse gear engage correctly, the brakes work very well, but the tyres, especially the front ones, look like they have been on since 1959 and desperately need changing, but all hold pressure. The front lights work but the rear ones are missing their lenses. The body work is excellent and the common consensus of opinion is it would almost be a shame to destroy its “patina” after surviving for so long untouched but yes, if you want a show piece then it does need to be painted.A rare tractor and one that continues our reputation of finding rare vehicles. It is road registered but the registration would need to be reapplied for with DVLA if you want to drive it on the road as there is currently no V5 with the tractor.Note: Light enough to be transported on a van sized transporter.

Lot 171

Jaguar XJ12 “Low Mileage” 1993 - For many years these incredibly rare “Biggest of the Big Cats” were much maligned and as such values slumped to where they were classed as fit for “banger duty”. Finally the market has started to wake up to just how good these cars are and as such values are now climbing. Un-molested low mileage examples like this entry are now hard to find with only 19 left registered for road use in the UK. Produced in the then current XJ40 shell for less than two years, the XJ12 version or XJ81 was powered by the largest CC derivative of Jaguars super smooth V12, a 5993cc monster that was quoted at 318 Horse Power, enough for a claimed 150 MPH!This particular car is offered for sale by the last owner’s son. His father owned the car from 2006, always maintaining the car and although not warranted the very low mileage shown of only 87000 is believed to be correct and backed up by various old mot’s and services. Prior to his father owning the car, between 2002 and 2006 the history shows it only covered 1000 miles. It was last serviced and MOT’d in October 2016 and has hardly turned a wheel since. This is not a pristine restored car, what it is though is a genuine car. Its rear arches do have signs of bubbling below the paint, there is a small scuff on one front wing and minor damage to a rear bumper corner ie exactly as his dad left it. Interior wise it’s more of the same, no real damage to the luxury leather and Rosewood interior (this was an option standard was cloth), some marks here, the odd scuff there but unusually no wear through on the driver’s seat bolsters and still a lovely cabin to spend time in. Electrically things are all fine with just a problem with the heater blower, it apparently works but only blows cold.Overall the running gear is stated as very good, engine gearbox etc are also good. So with the current MOT, tax it and use it. If you have not experienced a Jaguar V12 you owe it to yourself to do so and believe us when we say these Jags will never be this cheap again.

Lot 124

Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Sport 1988 - Needing no introduction this lovely Porsche 911 is in very good condition, its body having received a repaint at some point and now having no more than a couple of minor faults. There is just something so evocative about this shape with its large rear spoiler and low stance. This particular car has “RS Style” colour matched front and rear bumpers but the vendor has the originals if preferred and these will be included in the sale at no extra cost ( collection to be arranged separately), these along with the Fuch alloy wheels add to the overall look of the car.Interior condition is good with the two tone leather bucket seats in good order. If being really critical (which the vendor is) the carpets are showing signs of wear and if he were keeping it he personally would replace them, but they are still very serviceable. The rear seat back rest pads, for what they are worth, are missing. Not that you can get in the back unless you are a “small” person.Mechanically it is all good news. With only an average 159K on the clock and a full Porsche and Porsche Specialist history up to 105K , then more stamps at 157K , the 3.2 Litre engine in the back still “pulls like a train” and puts a grin on your face every time you get he chance to use it “properly”. No need to rev the hell out of it, just loads of “grunt” in all the gears and that engine noise peculiar to Porsche’s famous Flat 6 engine. All helped by this being a late model car so has the later “G50” 5 speed box , so giving a more precise gear change. The vendor does bring to our attention that all electrics including the front seat adjustment and electric roof etc work but at the moment the electric adjustment on the mirrors has stopped functioning “O” and for the purists, they are actually later 993 Mirrors. He would not be selling the car, but having only covered 2000 miles in the 3 years he has owned it and it sits blocking up the garage, the wife and kids have won the argument and its time for someone else to enjoy the car.It comes with the history already mentioned, a file of receipts and invoices and is currently MOT’d until May 2017. Offered with a very reasonable reserve so making it a rare opportunity to buy one of Porsche’s finest that’s ready to go at an affordable price.NOTE: The vendor has said he will be getting an oil and filter change, plus a check over, prior to selling the car to be sure all is good for the next owner.

Lot 113

BMW 728i E23 1980 - This lovely condition BMW 728 E23 has only 58,600 miles recorded on its odo meter, unfortunately a previous owner has lost the history so all the vendor can say is its MOT history helps to back this up showing how little use it has actually had. The eagle eyed amongst you might recognise this car as it featured in both the TV series “Luther” and “Ashes to Ashes”.Originally registered to BMW UK then two owners since including the last being the film company. While in their keep it was professionally sprayed into the lovely bright white you see today and so the body work is very good with no rust. There is a very slight mis alignment of the rear bumper where something has nudged it in the center but other wise both bumpers are excellent without the usual BMW problems common to this era of BM’s . The mechanics have just been recommissioned including items such as new brake master cylinder and brake pads and is described as driving very well. All other mechanical items are also very good. The exhaust does how ever have a slight blow so will need to be looked at soon.Interior is original and again its condition backs up the low recorded miles, it even still has its original Blaupunkt stereo that works along with its electric aerial. All other electrics function as intended and the only thing the vendor is aware of being changed are the headlights that have been up graded to the later “Halo style”.These early E23 BMW’s make for a cracking classic car you can use or show ( or both) and now rare to find as nice as this. MOT’d until May next year so ready to go.

Lot 215

BMW M3 Convertible 1995 - Having recently been cosmetically refurbished, including a new convertible hood and its alloy wheels restored then fitted with new tyres. This 3litre 5 Speed manual 1995 BMW “M3” not only looks excellent but has the sort of performance that shames many modern day performance cars.Showing 100,791 on the odometer and coming with a full service history to back that up. It has MOTs dating back to 2003 when mileage was recorded as 63,004 so has only covered an average of just over 2500 miles a year in the last 14 years.Body work is finished in the rare “Daytona Violet” colour while the leather interior is in black, a nice colour combination that is very popular. Both exterior and interior are described as “Perfect, no rust, scratches or marks”, marking this particular BM out from the usual cars on offer. This is not an old thing that has been abused to within an inch of its life, received a lick of paint then sold on, but a car that has been used and enjoyed but looked after properly throughout.Under the bonnet is where the magic is, BMW’s legendary 3 Litre straight 6 engine giving 285 horses of smooth power, coupled to a 5 speed manual gearbox with ratios that give instant pull down low but effortless cruising in the higher gears. These really are a driver’s car and like anything carrying the legendary “M” designation is very sought after in the market today. Prices of even the poorer condition cars go up month on month, as good examples such as this car, become harder and harder to find. If you are looking for a good investment in a classic car, but one you can use as well, this BMW E36 M3 just might be the car you are looking for. Currently MOT’d through to August 2017 so ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

Lot 206

Dayton Albatross 250cc Scooter 1958 - Like a sketch from Monty Pythons the voice on the phone said “ I would like to put my Albatross in your Auction” Ok I said, thinking the obvious that April 1st had come early but no the vendors wife meant an incredibly rare British built scooter from the 50’s a 1958 “Dayton Albatross”. Now after 40 years or so of dealing with motorcycles and scooters this was a new one on us! This particular bike was registered to the supplying dealer 01.04.1958 (see April fool’s day!!) Then sold to a Gent from Chelmsford on the same day. He used it through to 1984 when he laid it up and never used it again. In the history are old MOTs these show mileage when tested in 84 as 37,774, it now has 38540 on the clock, so not many miles had passed after the MOT. Eventually it was sold to the vendor’s husband, also from Chelmsford in 2003, who was determined to get it back on the road and use it. Unfortunately nature struck and this never happened so another 14 years later and it is being offered here. The bike has actually survived miraculously well, it must have been stored correctly for the 33 years it was hidden away. It has that lovely patina all over, nothing nasty just un-molested and original 59 year old metal and paint! The non-standard seat cover is exactly that an elasticated over cover that has been on there for a very long time. We have lifted it and had a look, the original seat cover is there buy damaged on the sides where your legs would rub in use. The 250cc Villiers twin engine is not locked up and rotates easily with the kick start, but obviously will need to be looked at prior to trying to start it. The brakes operate and the bike wheels freely. When we lowered the side engine inspection panels there is evidence of grease on the inside of them, leading us to believe this was done to stop rust. Well it worked as it all looks good in there. The bike is one hundred percent complete and apart from the handle bar brake/clutch levers looks to be original. The original screen complete with vintage AA badge is with it but not fitted as are the original handbooks and even the original bill of sale and warranty certificates!! Plus old tax discs MOTs. This is probably a once in a lifetime chance to own one of these Scooters, especially one with this peerage and what a perfect candidate for either a restoration or keep as is and just get it back on the road. Remember “It is only original once”. We will not be cleaning it just presenting it exactly as it was when we collected it.

Lot 199

Audi Coupe Automatic 1985 - When did you last see one of these on the road? A 1985 Audi Coupe Automatic? Well according to the web site “How many left?” Likely that you haven’t as there is only one listed “On the road” and in fact only 2 more as being on “SORN”!!This particular car, first registered August 1985, has spent a long time stood un-used, just transported to an MOT station each year for an MOT to keep it insured. Until recently the vendor was not intending to sell it but some kind person broke its right hand rear light lens and marked the bumper in its storage area so he decided to pass it on to someone else to look after and use. The vendor has pointed out that the rear lens has been taped for its MOT and will need to be replaced. The engine starts happily and revs cleanly, it makes full use of its 1800CC engine, obviously not as brisk as a 2.2 but more than adequate with the auto box changing smoothly. Body work is good with no major areas of concern, some small marks and scratches but still polishes up nicely. The interior is very good, needing no more than a clean in places and all original. Electrics and mechanics are up to UK MOT standard and the MOT is through to February 2018.So a very rare and now classic Audi Coupe that with a small amount of effort would make a very interesting show car or if not, use as it is and enjoy classic Audi ownership at a very affordable price.
