A rare Prattware jug. Circa 1800, moulded with nesting birds feeding their young, and a cottage and windmill to the opposing side, decorated in typical Pratt colours, height 14cm.Colors are bright, very tiny chip to spout, small firing fault situated where the handle joins, otherwise no condition issues. additional images have now been uploaded to our website.

A rare Staffordshire pearlware figure group, the New Marriage Act. Circa 1825, unusually painted and sponged in blue, with the figures around the alter, in a church interior, on a stepped base, height 16cm.There is no evident damage.The glaze has missed an area around the base and has pooled near the join of the group and the base.There is some kiln pitting and a few other marks.

Attention is drawn to the accompanying covers, Churchill and Explorers first day issues, separate USA airmail envelope dated 1938 sent from Eddyville Idaho having post office large stamp, front and back of envelope, showing Idaho with directional arrows to points of interest e.g. California gold rush, and a personal envelope with a 1963 1 and 1/2d QE11 blue stamp with bottom edge imperforate

Rare decanter with silverware, 925/000. English clamp jug with silver decorated handle, collar and cap, decorated with pearl rim, engraved scenes with flowers and birds. The knob on the lid is in the shape of a military figure. 19x14x33cm. MT.: John Aldwinckle & James Slater, London, last:I:1884. In very good condition.

Special rare decanter with silverware, 800/000. Decanter, convex model with a long slender neck, decorated with a handle in the shape of a female figure with grapes. The decanter is further decorated with grape vines and a cartouche with engraving: DE 7 aprile1900. The silver cap is made of an angel with a flute. 15x13x45cm. The glass of the carafe is somewhat damaged.

A Modern Blue Album Containing Roughly 160 Postcards, many from the Teesside area with strong representation both with printed and Real Photographic cards, with a quantity by Stockton based Brittain & Wright. Better include Eston Village Scene, Middlesbrough Southend School, Tyne Dock Railway Station – printed but rare, and also three cards posted from Stokesley of harvesting scenes. A nice lot.

Great Britain The King George V section of a specialised collection, the continuation of lot 28, offered intact aside from Lots 30-31. Impressive Downey heads incl. (MNH unless otherwise stated) wmk crown 1911 ½d bluish green Die 1A and Die 1B (latter wmk inverted), 1d rose-pink Die 1A and Die 1B (latter with control A11, RPS cert), 1912 ½d bluish green Die 2 with bottom margin, ‘no cross on crown’ varieties within blocks of four on three different 1d printings, 1d paper trial (Allen special finish), etc. Good shades on the side-profile heads as well, for example 1912 1d deep brick-red and orange-vermillion, N16(6) and (15) both with certificates, 2d intense bright orange cds used N19(9), 2½d if not the rare used royal blue N21(16) then a very good effort with vertical inter-panneau pillars in margin, also 4d reversed wmk N23c, through to a great display of shades on higher values with several as control singles. Then 1913 multiple cyphers (the 1/2d we have taken as vlh), block cyphers in-depth, photogravure issues, commems incl. PUC £1 MNH (toned) and used, as well as KGVI with comprehensive watermark varieties and high values. We have erred on the side of caution, particularly on the better used shades, still the catalogue exceeds £25,000.
