Rare Talfourd Toys Alice in Wonderland set, Articulated wooden figures from Tenniel’s illustration for Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass comprising the Queen of Hearts, The Dodo, Jabberwocky, Rabbit, Griffin, Alice, Door Mouse, Mad Hatter, White Queen, Walrus, Red Queen, Bill the Lizard, Red King, Nave of Hearts, Fish Footman, White Rabbit, Duchess, Mock Turtle, Carpenter, Tweedledum, Tweedledee, Cook and Humpty Dumpty —3in. (7.5cm.) height of Alice (some very minor damage) - Talfourd Toys were made by two Spinster Sisters who live in Telfourd Cottage, Reigate in Surrey, England. Some are stamped Talfourd on soles of feet.

Liberty, The Sigurd, a rare Cymric silver clock by Liberty & Co., Birmingham 1902, designed by Archibald Knox, model no. 579, the brass carriage timepiece movement with a captive winder and fast/slow lever, no. 225, the swollen rectangular case with an overhanging dome centred top, cast in low relief with scroll foliage, the circular dial enamelled in blue and turquoise, gilt inscribed Tempus Fugit numerals and heart at 6 o'clock, stamped marks, 9cm (3 1/2in) high; now sitting on a copper stand See Bernbaum, Anthony Origins of the Liberty Cymric Silver Range, The Journal of the Archibald Knox Society, 2014, p. 38 fig. 21 for the original pencil design of this design.
Robrecht van Bethune (1305-1322), sterling, Aalst, + rob comes fland, bust in profile to left (imitating Scottish coins of Robert the Bruce), rev., mon – eta – alo -sten divided by long cross pattée with three pellets in angles, 1.28g (Gaillard 179 var.), some staining and minor edge chip, fine to good fine and rare. Bought Franceschi, 8 October 1964.

Crecy (1322-1346), St Jans goudgulden, without mint or date (Aalst), s iona – nnes b (lion), St John standing facing holding long cross, rev., comes – l’ flad, large fleur-de-lis, 3.41g (Delmonte 451 [R.2]; Gaillard 183; F. 148), faint edge marks, otherwise very fine to good very fine and rare. Bought Vinchon, 7 November 1966.
