Desperate Dan Annual 1 (1954). From the Brenda Butler Comics Archive. Rare early misprint copy missing colour yellow from cover. Therefore the 'yellows' printed cream, the 'reds' are pink and the 'greens' are blue. (It is unknown how many were misprinted in this way but this is the first copy we have come across since we started our auctions in 1992. Desperate Dan in a pink shirt? I don't think so...). A Fine & Rare 17th Century Child's Inlaid Oak Wainscot Chair of small proportions, attributed to South Yorkshire and having a good colour & patination. The shaped cresting rail carved with a pair of voluted S-scrolls incorporating plumes of foliage, above a lozenge carved back panel with fluttering pennants adorning the terminals and the date 1668 to the top. The uprights inlaid with chequer bands; the banding repeated on the seat rail. The down swept arms on turned posts above turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 24½ ins (62 cms) high 16 ins (41 cms) wide.

A Rare Yorkshire Pratt-glazed Pearlware Money Box Circa 1810. Modelled as a brick cottage flanked by the figures of a man & wife, with two children peering from the upstairs windows. The gable ends moulded with a tree on one side with sponge glazed foliage, and a nymph on the other. The blue tiled roof having a central chimney pot and pierced coin slot to the back. The whole decorated with blue, puce, yellow, green and black under-glaze enamels. 5 ins (13 cms) in height.

A rare Royal Mail coach guards flintlock pistol by J. Harding, London. With walnut full stock, ramrod and brass barrel inscribed along the spine J. Harding & Son, Boro, London, Liverpl & Manchtr and around the muzzle for his Majesty's mail coaches. Lock plate with broad arrow and inscribed J. Harding. Barrel length 22.75cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Very good working action. Some pitting to the steel components. Minor timber repairs to the stock. No proof marks visible on the barrel.

A rare Lowestoft model of a recumbent ram. Raised on a simple pad base and with it's eyes, muzzle and hoofs picked out in coloured enamels. Flat base with glazed vent hole c1785-90, 5cm high.
