Wonderful Victorian Period Rare Carved Ivory and Gilt Hinged Cigar Case with silk interior. The front cover with a top quality ivory figural carving of Eros/Cupid within a shaped frame. The ivory back of plain form opens up to the case to reveal a fitted silk compartment for cigars and matches. 5.5 inches 13.75 cm high, 3 inches 7.5 cms wide. Wonderful condition.

A fine and rare dagger designed by Émile Gilliéron and produced by Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF). Decorated with inlaid designs of cats hunting ducks, a river with fish and papyri. It is based on a dagger of the mid-16th century BC found at Mycenae in Grave Circle A by H. Schliemann; the handle is an imaginative reconstruction.The original is in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens (NAM 765)Length 31.5cm. Impressed Gillieron Athens.
A very rare Longton Hall teapot decorated in underglaze blue with English castles on islands, the associated lid either Chaffers or Guilbody, Liverpool, ex. Gilbert Bradley collection. Condition report: There is a discoloured glaze chip/flaw to the edge of one of the decorated panels. Tiny glaze flakes to spout tip/ General glaze flaws and some black pitting. Replacement lid with firing fault to knop.
A rare early 19th century Vizagapatam ivory veneered card case with blackened engraved decoration showing on one side two tree and three birds, the lid with national flowers including the thistle and rose, the other side with a shepherd seated with three sheep, the lid with an initialled plain escutcheon, height 11mm, width 7.7mm.
An extremely rare early 19th century documentary country pottery moon flask decorated and inscribed in underglaze blue 'John Shephard Hohlberton, December 14, 1815, Plymo Pottery', the back with two crudely painted portraits one in silhouette, the body diameter 13.5cm, short cylindrical neck. (See illustration) Condition report: No damage or restoration noted. Two areas of abrasion and other scratches.

A RARE JAPANESE CERAMIC PLAQUE WITH A TOTEI CLOISONNE CENTRE AND CINNABAR LACQUER, heavily inlaid with abalone shell, the cloisonn centre depicting a phoenix, butterflies and native flora surrounded by a green lacquer Greek key border, the cinnabar outer rim lacquered with multi coloured applied leaves and heavily inlaid with abalone shell, the reverse lacquered with a square seal signature to the centre, 50.9cm diameter, 7.9cm high.
