Mach One Models - a rare 1:43 scale resin Mach One Models 1960 Schmid Orpheus project finished in silver, a very distinctive machine with twin outboard hulls with rudders, central streamlined cockpit with a turbine engine behind. Fitted with four large metal disc wheels. Mint See Plate 2 Note: A project designed by Porsche chief engineer around a Bristol Orpheus turbine engine mounted in a fairing between twin outboard hulls carrying self-suspending wheels. The intention was to utilise the jet exhaust to drive a paddle turning the rear wheels to achieve a 60/40 split between thrust and wheel power. At the time however, Porsche felt unable to undertake such an elaborate and expensive project. Attempts by Carlo Abarth and Pininfarina to negotiate an agreement whereby they would build and run the car failed, and only a detailed scale model was ever produced - Est £40 - £60

A RARE & VERY UNUSUAL ETIENNER DENAMUR DOLL CHOCOLATE BOX, circa 1860, the doll part protruding from the waist out of the top of the box which is in the form of a large hollow boot to present the confectionary, the back and front of the doll's body hooked in a similar fashion to Mr Punch while the reticulating head is of more typical 'pretty' form in painted bisque and having open glass eyes. Has jointed arms to the body and with bisque hands, complete with an ostrich feathered tricorn hat, lace ruffles and covered in patterned silk, the left-hand side silk dyed pink and the right in green - in harlequin fashion perhaps, back of the neck marked 'E3D - DEPOSE', the inside of the waist printed with the logo of 'Boissier' a Parisian chocolatier (still operating today).
