The Spirit of The Book or Memoirs of Caroline, Princess of Hasburg, A Political and Amatory Romance. Ed. [Author] Thomas Ashe. Allen & Co, London. 1811. 3 Vols. Extremely rare 1st ed of little remembered Irish early nineteenth-century author Thomas Ashe. Copac locates only 4 copies of this ed, one of which is in Trinity college. 3 Vols complete. A book which garnered some notoriety when first published in 1811, as it was believed to have been a thinly veiled account of the relationship between George IV and Queen consort, Caroline, it went through four editions by 1812, and its 7th by 1820. Also of note was the swashbuckling career of the author Thomas Ashe himself. The title page of each volume is inscribed by Sir Pryse Pryse of Gogaddan, Wales. [3].

1922 Irish Republican Silver An extremely rare small Salver of Irish Republican Silver by William Egan, Cork 1922, struck on the underside with a two masted ship, and a single towered castle, and the makers mark W.E., decorated in the Georgian style with shell border on a pie crust rim, with three ball n' claw feet, approx. 14 ozs, 22cms (8 3/4") diameter. * Extremely Rare, One of only fifty-four such pieces made by Egans, Cork, during the period July to September 1922. It was impossible for silversmith to send their wares to Dublin during this time to be assayed as communications had been cut off and trade had collapsed during The Troubles. On the suggestion of Dr. Oliver St. J. Gogarty, Egan kept on his staff and started stamping his silver wares with a Cork Republican mark, which in time might become as rare as Cromwellian silver. Egan's punch mark of a Ship, had two masts, unlike the similar antique mark, which had three masts. In fine condition. (1)

7 bottles Louis Metaireau “Black Label” Muscadet Sur Lie 1982 This rare wine was originally only sold by specialised restaurant outlets approved and selected by the Domaine, with just a handful in Northern UK. Some labels decomposed (Tasting note: We were surprised to find that the wine had really withstood its age in bottle. Whilst unlike classic Muscadet it had gently evolved into a complex style reminiscent of apricot and honey but retaining balanced acidity with excellent minerality)
1 half bottle Rare Parker 100 point Riesling Eiswein 2002 Donnhof Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Eiswen 2002 This very rare Eiswein has been described as the ultimate in Eiswein “Golden in colour, this is just so sublime and a model of finesse and elegance. Tons of juicy flavours burst out of the glass, ranging from fresh garden fruits to exotic fruit sorbet. A serious touch of acidity hits one on the palate and yet this comes over as completely in harmony and the right counterweight to great intense concentrated flavours of fruits. The finish is sweet and, at the same time, remarkably zesty. The overall sense of freshness and inner balance is simply breathtaking. This is textbook stuff”.
