A WWI ERA, EARLY ISSUE BRODIE STYLE HELMET, which is believed to have been made in the UK and was purchased privately by British Officers at the start of the War, this example is in very good condition and bears the cap badge of the 'Lancashire Hussars' information suggests that the design of the helmet was such that the pressed wrinkled pattern all round the helmet, made it less effective against Shrapnal and was banned by the Army, it was only then seen being worn by Portugese troops throughtout WWI, this helmet is rare and a great collectors item
