A rare Great Western Railway Lost in Transit jigsaw puzzle, circa 1938, with 144 non-interlocking thick card pieces, size 36.6cm x 24.4cm; guaranteed complete, good condition in fair to good original box (one split corner to base, general rubbing to edges). on front cover. See Tom Tyler, British Jigsaw Puzzles of the 20th Century, page 111, for a wooden reproduction of this puzzle, and The Chad Valley Advertising Puzzles by the same author, page 26, for a card original; the example offered here is stamped from a different die in two sections, the upper and lower halves being cut with the same die rotated through 180 degrees.
