A rare Dinky Toys Vulcan Bomber (749/992). Silver body (aluminium) with rounded wing tips, RAF decals to wings and fuselage, correct pale blue windows to cockpit. Complete with original undercarriage. One of the few examples (possibly 500) produced and sold to the Canadian market in 1955/56. VGC-Mint. Plate 8 and see Front Cover.
An extremely rare American .177” Haviland and Gunn 1872 Model air pistol, 5¼” overall, of blackened one piece cast iron construction, with screw in breech plug and air chamber in the butt, the brass mainspring retaining plug stamped “Pat’d May 21.1872”. GWO & C, the breech plug should have an integral hook which engages the projection in the base of the butt for cocking, but this appears to have been removed and replaced with a ring to aid removal. With a photocopy page from a catalogue outlining the history of the company.
Rare German Wenka 35mm Coupled Rangefinder Camera. (film advance very slightly rough, otherwise condition 5F) #5733 with Schneider Xenar 50mm f2.8 lens (condition 5F). This 'First B' version has speeds to 1/800th, an interchangeable lens with a 40mm thread and a film frame size of 24x30mm. {Cabinet 1}

RARE Stereo Daguerreotype “Mortality” by Thomas Richard Williams (1824 - 1871). Overall in very good condition, with minor internal marks (to the glass?), right hand imgage shows slight surface discoluring*. Probably circa early 1850s as rear has an affixed card with the address of the T R Williams studio shown as 236 Regent Street, London. This fine image shows a tastefully arranged, if macarbe, composition of objects and is a different version of a known T R Williams image (see p177, "A Village Lost and Found" by Brian May & Elena Vidal, Francis Lincoln Ltd & London Stereoscopic Company, 2009). Versions of this image are also known by other titles, including “Memento Mori” and “The Sands of Time”. Also see http://londonstereo.com/trwilliams/processes.html. The J. An Uncommon 1920s Kodak Model BB 16mm Cine Camera Outfit for Colour Filming. Comprising Kodak Model BB cine camera (condition 4F) with standard f1.9 lens with French instruction book and a boxed 78mm f4.5 long-focus lens. Also includes a combined blue, red, green filter set for additive colour filming on the early, lenticualr version of Kodacolor cine film, plus a rare Kodacolor projector unit (in makers box) which fits to the side of a Kodak Model A for projection in colour and a Kodak splicing set. Also a Kodascope 16mm projector in fitted box (not tested).

Three pairs of silver salt spoons, various dates and makers, George III/Victorian, comprising:- a rare Kings shape variant with shell at terminal, by James Ede & Alexander Hewat, London, 1808; also two Victorian Provincial pairs, both by J. & J. Williams, one Old English pattern, Exeter, 1874, crested and one Fiddle pattern, Exeter, 1868, initialled "IW", wt. 82 gm. (6). There is a fair bit of wear to the shell on one spoon of the first pair
RARE ANTIQUE BOOK 'His Pilgrimage, 1614' by Samuel Purchas (1577-1626), second edition of the first book of compiled travel accounts of approximately one thousand contributors, with notables including Hawkins, Columbus, Sir Francis Drake etc, 'Relations of the World & The Religions Observed in All Ages and Places Discovered From the Creation Unto this Present' divided as nine books over 918 pages, plus the table of the principle things contained (which is absent after SE) contents of the chapters and catalogue of authors, title page missing, book opens at 'To The Most Reverend Father in God, George and by the Divine Providence, Lord Archbishop of Canterbyrie etc', this is a dedication to George Abbot, Purchas having been appointed his Chaplain in 1614, possibly in original cover and binding (poor condition) with some small tears/losses in the early pages, staining appears pretty much throughout with heavy stains to the bottom right corner from page 277 right through to the end

A rare glass egg form finger etui attributed to Palais Royal, circa 1860, the egg on a ring and chain to a gilt top mount, elaborate gilt hinge mount the egg with six titled architectural panels set within a ground of coloured sands and ground minerals, the interior probably later fitted with white metal miniature tools comprising stiletto, needlecase, bodkin, scissors and thimble (holed), 9cm excluding chain
A rare late 18th Century ivory shuttle French, probably Dieppe, the upper face pierced and carved with a young lady on a terrace carrying a basket of fruit within garlands of flowers, ribbands and scrolls on a trellis ground, the obverse plain save for a panel of two diamonds, 16.5 x 4.2cm A very similar shuttle is illustrated in Whiting (G) Old-Time Tools and Toys of Needlework Page 244 then in the collection of Mrs De Witt Clinton Cohen, New York It is likely that this shuttle was originally composed of two corresponding panels and that the plain obverse is a replacement. The pierced and carved face has some minor loss and old repairs, the fragility of shuttles of this nature mean survival is very rare.
