A rare large section of aircraft canvas featuring an RAF Royal Air Force Roundel. By repute from a Hawker Hurricane, which was purchased near RAF Debden , Saffron Walden, Essex - a Battle Of Britain air base. The section being silver painted, to the facing side with RAF roundel to centre. Some old repairs to the rear of the canvas, believed to be that of anti-aircraft fire. Measures approx; 89cm x 100cm. NOTE; the paintwork is in a very fragile state and buyers should expect some further paint flaking between photography and date of auction.

A rare WWI First World War British Army issued Somme ' Trench Map '. Dated January 1917 the map shows an area of France, with the British trenches mapped for reference. ' Trenches Corrected To 1-1-17 ' to top. Some added pencil markings, presumed to be those marking bomb craters are also present. Linen backed as issued. Fragile - upper left section torn at seam, but still attached. Measures approx 68cm x 90cm when opened.

The centre of the flag has been hand painted with ' Votes For Women ' to the centre. The flag retaining its original toggle and rope. A rare and important WSPU item. Measures approx; 60cm x 93cm.

The hand-made marker of tin construction being hand made, with remnants of original paint and a name (illegible) to one side. Later mounted on a granite squared base. Measures approx; 31cm tall.

A rare early 19th Century Georgian Napoleonic War miniature model of a Carronade Cannon. Raised on a wooden base with bronze turret barrel and mount with adjustable moving turn handle aiming mechanism. These short, smoothbore, cast-iron cannon were used by the Royal Navy and first produced by the Carron Company, an ironworks in Falkirk, Scotland. It was used from the 1770's to the 1850's. Its main function was to serve as a powerful, short-range, anti-ship and anti-crew weapon. Barrel measures: 5cm.
A rare and unique piece of WWII Second World War history - the original Union Jack / flag from British Royal Navy MTB ( Motor Torpedo Boat ) No. 579. The linen constructed flag features a Union Flag to centre, with a large white border. Marked to seam Porter Brothers Ltd, Liverpool and ' 579 '. Measures approx; 92cm x 122cm. MTB Motor Torpedo Boat 579 (75t 3/6/43), sunk by German dive bombing aircraft (a Stuka), Leros Island, Dodecanese, Greece on October 26th 1943. This flag was recovered at the time by other Royal Navy vessels in the area. This flag was purchased by the vendor from a British military and navy collection in 1976 who had obtained it from an ex-Royal Navy Able Seaman Cox who obtained he flag at the time in Greece, and was also a crew member of another MTB Launch at the time.
