A rare Stevens & Brown clockwork Velocipede, 1870s, the rider with painted stiffened oil-cloth head, gloved brass hands, original red jacket and blue and white striped trousers, the clockwork motor housed between the rear wheels painted in blue with gold decoration and stencilled ‘Pat’d Jan. 25th - Feb 1st - 1870’, three large green painted wheels and red and blue cast iron frame - 10in (25.5cm) long (head squashed and mechanism needs attention); this actual example appeared on the BBC Antique Roadshow in 2001 at Forde Abbey Somerset

A Pair of Rare Carette/Bassett-Lowke Gauge I Scottish Railway Open Wagons, comprising a B-L Caledonian Railway wagon in red-brown with white lettering as CR 71908, F, all buffers missing and paint loss to inside, two additional holes to one end and other dints, together with Carette NBR wagon in green-grey no NB 1911, also F, rusting to one side, couplings replaced, underframe substantially repaired (2)
A rare Märklin clockwork tinplate Two-Funnel Battleship ‘HMS Admiral Beresford’, Cat Ref 1092, the hull hand-painted in cream and red with simulated planking and tinplate clips for semi-round sailors, cream superstructure decorated with circular portholes and long windows, eight open gun turrets and two-gun enclosed turret in front of Bridge and one circular enclosed gun turret at rear, all with cannons, two guns mounted on open rear bridge, two lifeboats, both funnels unattached with most of original chain supports, and clockwork motor, with original four-wheel trolley stand, length 30 inches, F, lacks both masts and rigging, horizontal decking areas all surface-corroded, vertical or angled hull and superstructure paintwork generally fair to good, some areas with paint loss, probably caused by slight oxidisation of tinplate surface caused by temperature and humidity fluctuations; the name of this vessel is actually ‘Admiral Reres Ford’, an unusual one for this model, and almost certainly a misinterpretation of the name of the renowned British Admiral Beresford
Malaya. B.M.A. 1945-8 1ct black on chalky paper with magenta overprint, fine mint. RPS Certificate (1991). This is the only genuine mint example of this stamp known to us, having inspected many alleged mint candidates over the years, supplied by Murray Payne to the current owner in 1990. Grenada. 1943 10/- blue-black and carmine (narrow) showing frame printed double, one albino, mint. As with all known examples, this stamp has been removed from a UPU presentation book, and in consequence has some gum disturbance and insignificant thinnings.
