A rare and impressive late 18th century Chinese export bowl, decorated with the continuous view of the Hongs of Canton with French, Austrian, Swedish, British, Dutch and Danish flags and a bustling harbour scene within dentil and greek key borders, the inside decorated with a basket of flowers amongst elaborate brocaded borders, unmarked, circa 1785, 14.25ins Commonly known as Hong Bowls, these depict the European export "factories" or embassies in Canton and are seen as the ultimate piece of Chinese export ware. Several similar bowls are in many important collections including the the British Museum. See Howard and Ayres Vol.2 no.207.

West Ham appeared in both Finals, losing to Bolton in 1923 but defeating Blackburn in 1940. These A4 sized booklets have reproduction press cuttings of match reports and scores by round. The edition is based on the influential translation by François Filleau de Saint-Martin omitting the final chapter of the original (the death of Don Quixote) in order to leave the way open for the translator`s own sequel to the story.
