A rare George I Channel Islands silver push-in necklace or bracelet clasp, maker's mark GH struck once to underside (Guillaume Henry, Guernsey c.1720-1767), of slightly convex oval form, with engraved bird amidst flowers, inscribed 'S.T' to back and 'RQT' to side, the ends with trefoil form clasp and conforming link, 1¾in. (4.5cm.) long, weight 8.2g.
A rare late 17th century Channel Islands silver tasse au vin or tastevin, four part maker's mark with RB below a fleur-de-lys and coronet, plus harp, coronet and A below a fleur-de-lys and coronet (Robert Barbedor, Jersey and Guernsey c.1677-c.1704), of French lobe and ring style, the shallow cup shaped bowl of good gauge and with slightly kicked-up base, inscribed 'E.B' to side, with pierced and chased shell and foliate thumbpiece and plain ring handle, 4¾in. (12cm.) long, weight 3.3 tr.oz.
An extremely rare William & Mary Channel Islands silver lighthouse pepper pot, maker's mark AH struck once to side of body (Abraham Hebert, Jersey c.1660-1700), of Huguenot influenced form, the plain cylindrical body with lower bladed girdle and flared, moulded foot, inscribed 'E.G' to base, the body with large, engraved armorial, the domed, removable cover with dot piercing and bud finial, 3 7/8in. (9.8cm.) high, weight 2.9 tr.oz.
A fine and rare late 18th century Channel Islands silver rococo decorated coffee pot, maker's mark IA struck three times to base (unknown, Guernsey c.1763-1807), with engraved armorial for the Carey family of Guernsey, nicely engraved scratch weight '35 oz' to base, of baluster form with repoussé and engraved flowers and foliage around a scroll bordered cartouche, the hinged, domed and waisted cover with overhanging petalled rim and fluted finial, the spout with shell mount and spout and scroll decoration, the wooden handle also on shell mounts, on a flared flute and reed banded base, 10½in. (26.5cm.) high, gross weight 35.5 tr.oz. * This is believed to be the only coffee pot by the maker IA in existence and probably the finest piece of silver known by the maker, its quality comparable to the best London standard of silverwork.

A rare George II Channel Islands silver lidded quart tankard, maker's mark GH struck three times beneath rim, to handle and top of cover, together with harp and K letter marks beneath rim (Guillaume Henry, Guernsey c.1720-1767), the tapered, straight sided tankard with domed hinged cover with shell thumbpiece and tapered S-scroll handle with bifurcated terminal, the body and cover with extensive later repoussé decoration around an earlier engraved armorial for the Carey family of Guernsey, with gilt washed interior, engraved scratch weight to base, 'oz. 29 1/8', 7in. (17.75cm.) high, weight 26.6 tr.oz.
An 18th century Channel Islands silver christening cup with rare duty drawback mark, maker's mark ID overstruck over London hallmarks three times to base (Jean Pierre du Port, Guernsey fl. c.1779-1788), also with intaglio king's head and Britannia duty drawback marks to base, of typical form with flared body, cast beaded S-scroll handles and short, waisted foot, inscribed to side, 'a MGB don de IRG & MMQ parain & maraine, Nèe le 7 Juin 1785', also scratch engraved initials 'BWM' to base, 2¾in. (6.8cm.) high, weight 2.7 tr.oz * Approx. 20 Guernsey christening cups with the duty drawback mark are known. Although bearing overstruck London marks, they are believed to have been made in Guernsey and later sent to England where the London marks were added and then overstruck with Guernsey marks on their return.

London, printed for the author, sold by Joseph Collier 1745, small 8vo, engraved frontispiece after Hogarth, title in red, somewhat soiled, p.121-247 misnumbered 201-327, first and last leaves creased and worn, 5pp adverts at end, binding detached, lacking one board. **Written by the author of The London Spy (a survey of the London lowlife scene), this rare work provides florid descriptions of curious clubs such as the No-Nose Club, the Farting Club, the Man-killing Club, the Club of Ugly Faces and the Chatter-Witt Club, the Mock-Heroes Club and the Small-Coal Man's Music Club.
