Large signed 10 x 14 photograph of Goebbels seated in a half length pose wearing an armband featuring the Nazi swastika. Signed ('Dr. Goebbels') in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone to the base of the image. The signature is written across a dark area although is legible. Signed photographs of Goebbels of this size are rare. Some surface and corner creasing and a large tear to the right edge (repaired with sellotape to the verso), not affecting the signature. FR

Frank, one page, 4to, Krakau, 23rd May 1940, to Adolf Hitler ('Mein Fuhrer!'), on the printed stationery of the Governor General, Occupied Polish Territories, featuring a blind embossed Nazi eagle and swastika. In this boldly penned letter, in German, Frank writes, in full, 'With your flattering and uplifting best wishes on my birthday, my Fuhrer, you bring me a pride-inspiring joy. I have only one wish in life: to devote myself to your service. Hail to you, my Fuhrer! Now and for ever.' With blank integral leaf. Two file holes to left edge, not affecting text or signature. The piece signed by Mieyette bears the signature of Ernest Blake (1919-1943, Flight Engineer) to the verso. Rare. Agostini Tofanelli was born in Lucca in 1770 and died in Rome in 1834. He was the director of the Museo Capitolino, and, like his brother Stefano Tofanelli (1752-1812), produced numerous drawings for engravings which show the influence of Anton Raphael Mengs. Chapple, 1811, half-titles, vol. 1 with orig. printed front wrapper bound in at rear, t.e.g., remainder untrimmed, marbled endpapers, bookplate of George Benson, later polished tree calf by Henderson & Bisset, joints sl. rubbed and a little tender, raised bands diagonally gilt hatched, gilt lettered red and black leather labels in second and third compartments respectively, remainder with gilt flower tool surrounded by dots, and volute cornerpieces, covers with gilt floral roll border, 8vo.
