A rare Delvigne pistol patented in1842, with rifled barrel and narrow chamber; it was rejected by the French army and became a regulation weapon of the Russian cavalry; it was also used in Turkey. length 36.5 cm.

dating: machi Period (1392-1573) provenance: Japan, Nagasa of 16.6 cm. Sugata: hira zukuri iorimune musori; hamon: regular suguha in ko nie with sunagashi and kinsuji; hada: evident ayasugi; boshi: suguha, also sunagashi and with a short kaeri. Gilded metal habaki. Nakago mei: 'Gassan', ubu, kurijiri nakagojiri with kiri yasurime and two mekugi ana. In mamorigatana tachi koshirae, original from the Edo period, from the mid-18th century. The koshirae is decorated with Shizuoka clan kamons, silver and gold menuki, also representing clan kamons, and along the tsuka there are small bales of rice of gold, which are often seen before the god Daikokuten as a symbol of prosperity and abundance. In the original wooden box from the Edo period featuring a fragment of the history of this very rare weapon. Outside the inscriptions 'blessed tachi', 'signed Gassan', and 'placed to guard the house', while inside other inscriptions 'participation in the Sogen Shinto ritual', 'June month of the Kan'en era of the Kanota Hitsuji (1751) cycle', 'ceremony took place at the Hyuga temple in the Kinoe ne cycle' and 'Shintokuso Ebisu'. Middle Muromachi period. Sogen Shinto (literally 'original Shinto'), also known as Yoshida Shinto, was one of the main branches of Shintoism from the late Muromachi period until the Meiji era.It is a mamorigatana blessed at the Hyuga temple to protect family and home according to Sogen Shinto beliefs. It has been kept in its original box since 1751 and still has all its intact parts, this is one of the rare examples which allows us to know its history. The data preserved here provide a clear picture of the historical, family and social context. length 32.4 cm.

dating: 1863-1864 provenance: Persia, Anatomically-shaped and made of iron with rounded shoulder plates, a narrow central part and a base with an opening with a silhouette of a mosque. Richly decorated with cartouches featuring inscriptions in Arabic and a sentence in Hebrew on almost the entire central part. The shoulder plates and sides with remains of buckles with small leather parts to fasten it to the breast plate. Some iron flaking inside, and an old restoration on the left side.The inscriptions are in Persian and open with a text on procuring a favourable fortune. This is followed by Hebrew letters (though not in Hebrew language, most probably Hebrew letters used to write Arabic), which according to the inscription below relates to the cup (jam) of Kay-Khusraw. This is followed by inscriptions about the protective and talismanic purposes of the breastplate, specifying that it is for the protection of the artillery (tupchi). To translate a short part of it:'This back of the breastplate (chahar aina) is for guarding against swords and the heads of arrows. The front part is for guarding agents the bullets of rifles' .A date at the bottom says written [on] the day of the zenith(?), 1280'. If the date 1280 is meant to be Islamic, this would correspond to 1863-4.Extremely rare object that deserves in-depth study, it is possible that it is a unique prototype/sample. dimensions 28 x 40.5 cm.

SERVADIO'. Complete with black lacquered scabbard (lacquering well preserved) and gilded mounts. Complete with the rare Mod. 39 leather clutched with 'M'-shaped hook under a brass eagle. A gift of the 'SAN MARCO' Blackshirts to Commander Roberto Servadio Cortesi. The heirloom comes directly from Servadio's family, who can at any time confirm its authenticity. dating: 1840 circa provenance: London, Heavy, rifled, two-stage, 14 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part, rib with scale from 1 to 8, probably for an adjustable rear sight. On the left side a folding lever with a gold mark 'PATENT LONDON' and engraved with floral motifs. Octagonal also at the second part, but slightly reduced, with frame of the same shape provided with sight at the nozzle. The base consists of a separate element, decorated with gold frames, engraved with floral motifs and a deer, provided with a pivot on the left side. Engraved tang provided for a support for a peep sight. The lock signed 'A. F. BIVEN REGENT ST. WATERLOO PLACE,' finely engraved with floral motifs. Wooden half stock with checkered hand rest and base. Iron mounts decorated en suite; the trigger guard with finger support. Butt plate with magazine for two cartridges and provided with a spring to release them; the cover can be opened by a hidden button. Originally manufactured without ramrod compartment. A very rare system. Originally, the rifle was likely a flintlock with a Satorius breechloading system, then it was converted to percussion, and later used as a muzzleloader rifle.A. F. Biven is documented in London, Waterloo Place, from 1830 to 1842 'Der Neue Stöckel, vol. I, page 107). length 119.5 cm.

dating: 1591 provenance: Saxony, Smoothbore, two-stage, 16 mm cal. barrel, first octagonal with mark 'A', 'K', mark with a bird and date '1591', the base engraved, after round with a ring and small engravings at the girdle, slightly bell-mouthed nozzle; lock with flat lock plate and external wheel, engraved springs, with safety lock and snap sliding pan cover, inside some engravings. Full stock made of blackened wood, scales engraved with bone inlays; sphere-shaped pommel bearing in the centre a bone medallion with the Saxon royal coat of arms. Bone-tipped wooden ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. Interesting puffer for the personal guard of the Princes of Saxony Christian I and II. This rare weapon has the barrel with the same marks as the puffer of the previous lot, only the date is from the year before. Although the lock and the stock show slight differences, there is a probability that the two puffers formed a single pair. length 55 cm.

An iron band decorated in gold under the cap. Complete with belt featuring a beautiful iron buckle and silver star-shaped decorations (missing parts). Rare. length 78.2 cm.

dating: 17th Century provenance: Germany, Strong, straight, parallel double-edged blade, slightly tapered at the base, ribbed at the center, with a roundish tip (the edge with some small dent); remains of an engraved oval depicting the effigy of the Crucifixion of Christ at forte on one side, its frame with the inscription 'MISERERE MEI DOMINE IN MAGNA MISERICORDIA TUA'; finely engraved, floral decoration above and under the oval. Iron hilt with straight quillons with twisted edges, joined to the short loop-guards by two parry rings, twisted as well and doubly enlarged at the center. Wooden grip with the remains of fabric covering, with an iron, central stave. Ring nuts with festooned border at the edges. Iron, fig-shaped pommel with twisted decoration en suite with the edges of the quillons. Rare. length 109 cm.

Oriental-style hilt with cross quillon, angled pommel engraved with floral motifs (small missing part) and small chain. Ebony handle carved with scales. Beautiful leather-covered wooden scabbard stitched with metal wire and with two large brass mounts engraved with floral motifs and with a decoration depicting a female figure in bas relief with a vase and a trophy of arms. Two suspension rings on bands, a lion's head in relief on the front side and floral motifs in bas relief on the rear side. Very rare. length 89 cm.

Leather-covered wooden scabbard with iron mounts and two suspension rings on wide bands. dating: late 17th Century provenance: Swiss, Curved, single-and-false-edged blade with groove under the back, short tang, with remains of engraved elements at the base featuring Pandur heads and floral motifs and not clearly legible inscription 'si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos'. Iron hilt with an 'S'-shaped quillon, the right quillon ending with a brass lion's head which is joined by a chain to the pommel representing the same head of larger dimensions. The parry ring shaped as a curl. Wooden grip covered with metal wire binding. Interesting and rare. length 95 cm.

dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Arabian Peninsula, Wide, flat, curved blade with floral engravings at the base and superficial areas damaged by rust. Handle completely covered with silver foils decorated with humps and rosettes (one missing). Wooden scabbard completely covered with silver foils engraved with floral motifs and with a large rosette on a clover-shaped base. Thickened chape decorated en suite. The rear part of the scappard smooth, covered at the top with leather and featuring a small pocket for the coins. Provided with wooden clutch for the hook, the hook decorated with two silver medals engraved with flowers and intertwined, silver-thread bands. Rare. length 60 cm.

dating: 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Wide, long, curved, double-edged blade made of damask and with central rib. Gold-inlaid with Arabic writings and floral motifs at the first part. Large, one-piece hilt made of walrus tooth (small missing parts and cracks). Wooden scabbard covered with silver foil decorated with bands, partially pierced and engraved mounts. Missing chape. The back with a suspension loop and a mark. Rare. Flintlock engraved with geometric motifs. Wooden full stock completely covered with iron mounts finely engraved with floral and geometric motifs, butt also decorated with mother-of-pearl plates, brass plates and silver rosettes (rare). Small defects and superficial areas damaged by rust. Carved-tipped iron ramrod. Two strap rings. Beautiful gun, it needs a proper cleaning. length 165.5 cm.
