An original and rare concert poster advertising a concert (ultimately rearranged) with The Sex Pistols, The Clash, the Damned, Johnny Thunders at Dundee's 'Caird Hall' on December 1st 1976. Measures 99.5 x 70cm. VF condition with some tape repairs, creasing, age wear but body intact in the main and colours still bright.Queen were booked for the Today show of 1 December 1976, but they cancelled their appearance at the last minute due to vocalist Freddie Mercury needing emergency dental surgery. - a cancellation that was to change the face of music history in the UK.They were replaced by the Sex Pistols, the punk band, appearing at short notice accompanied by their entourage. The show was broadcast live and uncensored on weekdays in the early evening, a time when spoken obscenities were forbidden.McLaren later said the interview was a “pivotal moment that changed everything” and “punk became the most important cultural phenomenon of the late 20th century”.After this interview nearly all of the Anarchy gigs were cancelled, and Bill Grundy was suspended and the Today show cancelled two months later.Arguably one of the three most important dates in Sex Pistols History along with the first gig with Bazooka Joe and the Lesser Free Trade hall gig. Both posters have recently sold in these rooms.

This example for the legendary 'I was there' performance on June 4th with organisers Howard Devoto and Pete Shelley of Buzzcocks, perhaps the single greatest impact of any one Sex Pistols performance c 1970s. Measures 42.5 x 30cm approx. Double-sided with early press scans to revers. Tape residue.Voted one of the most important concerts of all time, alongside Woodstock and Live Aid. Although thousands claim to have been at the gig, only a handful of people were actually there.This is the actual copy of the flyer that was scanned and used on the official ‘Sex Pistols Live 76 Box Set’ sleeve for the Manchester album released in 2016 by Universal Music, and the ‘I Swear I Was There’ live bootleg LP (Goodtimes Music GTM-LP001) released in 2006. You can see the same tape marks on the flyer and album artwork.

A RARE AND UNUSUAL PISTOL GAS STOVE LIGHTER, Patented by REMANCO and made in England around the 1930s, the Remanco Toy Company was founded in 1893 by W.R. Pedley & Co in Dimminsdale, Willenhall, Staffordshire, England and dissolved in 1965, it is missing its flint and its surface is rusted in numerous places, comes with a believed Afghan made flintlock cavalry pistol which is fitted with what appears to be a genuine Tower lock marked with a Crown over GR and on its tail is marked Dublin Castle, the front of the barrel is attached to the stock with a brass barrel retention band alien to original Dublin Castle pistols of this period, its stock unlike the standard walnut stocks on Dublin Castle pistols this is in some other make of timber, it is however is good working order and has been well used and will have been made before 1939 so classed as an antique (2)

Some wear to box, minor losses to lid.The phonograph mechanism winds and sets into motion with the pulling of the start lever. But the two wheels need a new rubber link (typical items to degrade being rubber). Due to the missing band I cannot fully test the sound/musical function, but the basic mechanism appears to work.

A rare official document of great importance, dating back to 1259 AH (1843 AD).The document contains a license in the Adsuqiyya method granted to Sheikh Sayed Ibn Ali Abu Salha from Egypt. It is signed by his teacher, Sheikh Ibrahim Ibn Mustafa Al-Makisi from Al-Sham, Syria and the teacher of his teacher, Sheikh Abdullah Ibn Sheikh Musa. The license is given on the authority of Sheikh Hassan Effendi Ibn Ibrahim, who was given the authority by his predecessor sheikh Muhammad Effendi Abu Al-Wafaa Al-Kilani Al-Rifai. This fruitful tree of predecessors continues until reaching Sheikh Abdul Qadir and Sheikh Qutb, all the way to the Emir al-Mouminin, Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may God honor him.The document was written and dated by Sheikh Muhammad bin Muhammad in the year 1259 AH (1843 AD) and bears the seals of Sheikh Mustafa al-Mukaisi.It measures 9 meters by 17 cm. It is in good condition although it has some wear and tear.

It explains the method of performing the daily prayer and its rules while traveling, for the common people as well as for the rulers.It is written in black ink and contains a portrait of Sultan Suleiman painted in gold. The page is framed in a frame with double-sided glass.Dimensions: The frame is 27 by 33,5 cm and the page 15 by 22 cm. It is in good condition.
