Brass grooved grip with Ordnance stamp. Only a few examples of this sword are known. Designed by Colonel Dundas between 1850-55.

Lock plate stamped "859" (1859, normal last 3 numerals for Austria). Heavy percussion style hammer. Polished full stock woodwork. Steel butt plate with faint regimental number. Steel trigger guard, barrel bands and end cap which are secured by steel springs. Steel ramrod. Rear sling swivel.

Rare Austrian Model 1842 Cavalry Carbine .75 cal, 14 1/2 inch, rifled, 12 groove barrel. Rear tang V sight. Lock plate converted from tube lock. Faint date "52". Large percussion hammer. Correct polished 3/4 stock woodwork with cheekpiece. Steel butt plate, trigger guard, end cap and side bar with swivel ring. These tube lock carbines were converted to percussion after 1854. Many were then sold to north and south to be used in the American Civil War.
