A mid-19th century Staffordshire figure 'Little Red Riding Hood', classed as very rare, label to base, PUGH E471 fig 246, height 23.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Horse's head has previously been snapped off and reattached with overpainting to the area, cracks to horse's rump and rear hoof area, cracks and restoration to front right hoof area, spreading hairlines, further areas of repainting to horse leg and neck, wear to paint and crazing throughout.

Rare Hessian M.1899 Cavalry Sword Degen with Imperial Russian Tsar Nicholas II Interest, blade by Weyersburg Kirschbaum etched "2. Grossh. Hess. Drag. Regt. (Leib-Drag. Regt.) No 24" together with the cypher of Tsar Nicholas II, trophies of arms and foliage, regulation hilt with the Hessian lion, composition grip, blade deliberately kinked and the base of the guard slightly dented. Blade length 84cms. Good condition, covered in dried oil. Tsar Nicholas II of Russia was the commander of the regiment from 10th October 1896 until August 1914.
Rare Continental Infantryman’s Hanger c.1750, possibly Spanish, curved single edge blade deeply struck on each side with maker’s mark of anchor, iron triple bar guard, swollen quillon, iron bun-shaped pommel, one piece bronze grip of swollen spiral form. Blade 62cms. Good condition with excellent age patina.
Rare Bavarian Werder Sword Bayonet Converted For Use With The Mauser 1871 Rifle, brass ribbed hilt, steel cross guard with downward quillon and muzzle ring, stamped “76 214”. Yataghan blade with central fuller. Some surface staining to the blade. Housed in the original leather and brass mounted scabbard. Lower chape stamped “51987 7 JB e” and the other side “B16Rg 38”. Scabbard has painted in white a old museum collection number “G.29”. Good overall condition.
Rare French Silver Mounted Dagger Copying an Ottoman Balkans Bichaq, 19th century, the polished blade engraved with commemorative date AH 1234 (=1818 AD) and struck with a pseudo-maker’s mark, silver hilt with French hallmark for items manufactured and sold in France from 1838 onwards, together with a maker’s mark, embossed with flowers and foliage, in its silver covered sheath embossed with extensive flutes and scrolling foliage; the embossing of fine quality overall. Blade 19cms. Very good condition.

Blade 65cms. Good condition, dress knot frayed.
Rare and Possibly Unique Plate of Indian Body Armour from a Char Aina, presumably 18th century, the large curved rectangular iron frame decorated with a design of trailing lotus flowers in thick gold koftgari, and retaining 2 gold koftgari buckles to one side and a pair of hinges to the other side (one incomplete); stretched across this iron frame is a sheet of mail composed of alternate rows of small solid links and riveted links. Overall 32.5cms x 27cms. Good condition, some small damages to mail.

Crowned star mounted with laurel sprays and 'Gibraltar' scroll; fouled anchor to the base. Centrally a pierced strap inscribed 'Per Mare Per Terram' on blue enamel ground. To the centre, a silver globe in relief. Mounted beneath the wreath, a silver strung bugle. Three loops to reverse. VGC

58th (Rutlandshire) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officer's Albert shako plate circa 1844-55. A fine and rare gilt example. Crowned star mounted with laurel sprays entwined with battle honours. Between the sprays, a strap inscribed 'Rutlandshire' with seeded gilt '58' to centre on burnished gilt domed ground. Above the strap, the Castle on a scroll inscribed 'Gibraltar'. Reverse complete with both original horizontal loops and both pairs of fixing wires behind the crown.Minimal service wear. VGC

VGC Produced to commemorate Victoria's Golden Jubilee. Regiment garrisoned at Fort Napier, Pietermaritzburg 1881-90.

Burnished gilt rectangular plate mounted with silver strap inscribed 'Montis insignia calpe' and 'LVIII Regt.'; within the strap, the Castle and Key. Fixed belt loop present, detachable belt loop now absent. VGC Became 2nd Bn. Northamptonshire Regt. on Friday 1st July, 1881.

Skull and crossed bones over 'F G' resting on 'Slay and Spare Not' scroll. Three screw posts to reverse complete with original washers and hooped nuts. VGC Raised around 1858 at Ladysmith with a strength of 36 mounted men. this green glad force served with Captain Allison's Force which entered Bastutoland in 1873 in pursuit of King Langalibalele of the AmaHlubi. Amalgamated with the Natal Caribineers.
