An Arts & Crafts silver mether bowl, by G L Connell, London 1909, of hammered form, raised on lug feet, 32cm diameter George Lawrence Connell’s wife was an accomplished silver maker at the start of the 20th century. She made her own designs in relatively small numbers and retailed them through the family business in Clerkenwell, using the G L Connell mark, as on this bowl. It could be attributed to Christine Connell and is a rare and exemplary example of Arts & Crafts design of the time. The form is of a mether cup or friendship drinking vessel inspired by Celtic origins.

Back missing some silver work. No papers. One hook clasp missing. Hinge sound.Watch case- With dent and split at 7.30.Face- Pitted and dentedWatch movement does not work if wound. Movement spins.Does not tick, ratchet on drum not working, hands move.Watch is all original and of the period.
A 19th Century tortoiseshell, pique work and gilt metal folding calendar, the interior with month and date set in paintings in the style of Hogarth, 25.5cm wide when open/Provenance: Spetchley Park CONDITION REPORT: 28:Tortoiseshell covers a bit worn but no cracks or chips so sound. Both painted inner panels very dirty. Month indicator on left s working but not smoothly. Right hand panel has several small holes in it, the indicator (perhaps days of week?) is not working. The metal frame around the edge is lifting in several places. This item is rare and interesting but will require some sensitive restoration to the workings and to the painted panels.

Rare original vintage London Transport map issued for the Olympic Games in 1948 - How to get there by London Transport. Amazing piece of social and sport history, this Visitors London map lists all major venues with corresponding London Underground stations, consulates, art galleries, museums and other useful addresses and places of interest. The print edition of the map is 450 copies, which is very low and most likely due to austerity measures after the war. Horizontal. Good condition, folded as issued, minor repaired tears. A rare original vintage 1970's Morellet & Guerineau made child's ' Rolls Royce Silver Cloud ' pedal car. Plastic body in blue, the grill fitted with a depicting on the famous 'Spirit Of Ecstasy' mascot and other silver-coloured plastic trim. Faux-gauges to the dashboard, and a plastic black steering wheel fitted - even a miniature tax disc can be found in the windscreen. Stunning example. Measures approx 126cm long. From a private collection of vintage pedal cars. Most of which have been fully and professionally restored to a better-than-factory condition. Where electrics are fitted, they are fully working, and where engines are fitted these too are also fully working.
