A Rare & Fine Charles II Oak Chest of Drawers having a good colour and patination. The top measuring 35 1/2 ins x 20 ins (90 cms x 51 cms) with applied ovolu moulding to the edge above three long cushion-front drawers: The moulded drawer fronts having fret-carved panels of stylized tulips displayed against red paint-work backgrounds with pairs of facet cut appliqués running down the sides and horizontal moulding strips to the divides. Standing on stile feet 33 ins (84 cms) in height. Possibly of East Anglian Origin.

A WORKS NUMBERPLATE "London & North Eastern Railway 11 Rebuild Doncaster Works 1942". As carried by the North Eastern Railway BoBo 1100 H.P. OHWE Class EF1 locomotive built at Darlington in December 1914 with Siemens equipment. It was rebuilt at Doncaster in December 1942 with 1256 H.P. motors, becoming Class EB1 from October 1945. It became LNER 6498 from May 1946; BR 26510 from May 1948. It entered service stock on January 1st 1959 as "Departmental 100", and was withdrawn in April 1964 to be cut up at Doncaster. Oval cast-iron, 9"x5", unrestored. An astonishingly rare plate of course.

A WORKSPLATE "Hawthorns & Co. No.240. S.D Davisons Patent 1861 Leith". This astonishingly rare and early engraved brass worksplate was carried by an 0-4-0 Well Tank locomotive with outside cylinders that was "No.1" for the Carron Iron Company, Falkirk (which became Carron Ironworks in 1882). It was scrapped in 1930. Oval, 111/4"x8", lightly face-polished only. With its attractive serif lettering, the only word to describe it is 'fabulous'. What an opportunity to acquire one of the earliest known worksplates to survive!

A TOTEM "MUIREND". BR(Sc) light blue, half-flanged. A few well repaired chips but A RARE TOTEM THAT HAS NEVER BEEN OFFERED FOR SALE BEFORE, IN AUCTION OR PRIVATELY. From the ex Caledonian Railway Glasgow station, between Cathcart and Williamwood, opened in 1903.
