Marks for London 1899 maker Elkington & Co Ltd, the shaped socket issuing an oak stem with fluted, petal and foliate carved detail and silver mounted handle, the silver mount with embossed foliate detail and engraved initials AH, marks for Sheffield 1899, maker Sibray, Hall & Co, 90cm overall x 21cm wide , all housed on a hinged oblong fitted and plush lined oak case with inset ivory label for R & S Garrard & Co, Crown Goldsmiths and Jewellers. ivory decleration/exemption number FK6KLSAC ***The first of the Hodbarrow iron ore (red hematite) mines, located between Millom and the seashore at Hodbarrow Point in Cumberland (now Cumbria), opened in c.1850. At that time Millom was a small settlement, but it was to grow rapidly in association with the mines and iron works. By 1896, Hodbarrow Mining Co. Ltd. was employing 1,435 people, (1,117 working below ground, and 318 working on the surface) It was the largest iron mine in the world at that time. The company built a substantial seawall (the 'Hodbarrow Outer Barrier') to protect the mines from the sea. This was completed in 1905, having taken five years and almost £600,000 to build. The mines closed in 1968. The 105 hectar site of the former mine was purchased by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds in 1986. It is now the Hodbarrow Reserve, which is now a large coastal lagoon and grasslands, and part of the part of the Duddon Estuary SSSI.   90cm x 21cm

An impressive, fine and rare 19th century Imperial Russian silver canteen of Hanoverian pattern cutlery, comprising twelve table spoons 978grams, six dessert spoons 329grams, six dessert forks 302grams, serving spoon 208grams, large soup ladle 403grams, fish server with metal core handle 176grams (marked JAL) steel bladed and tined carving knife and fork, twenty four table forks 1957grams, twelve teaspoons 390grams, six white metal bladed knives with metal core handles 405grams and twenty four steel bladed knives with metal core white metal handles, each having makers mark AC, mark for St Petersburg and assay master mark for Ivan Vonifatiyevich Yevstigneyev 1878, the fish server with pierced and engraved blade, maker JAL (Lohfert, Julius Eduard August and conforming date and assay mark, all marked with 84 zolotnic to denote 875/1000 silver standard. All housed in a brass mounted oak case with two lift-out trays and all fitted with buff-coloured plush lining and blue accents. Gross weighable 875 grade silver without steel bladed items 5148grams. Flat ware and cutlery generally in very good condition commensurate with age and use, the knife blades with some oxidation/spotting, additional images uploaded. The fish server being the only item with differing maker.

Rare, unopened Carlos I Imperial Gran Reserva brandy bottled in a Lladro porcelain decanter. Comes in a lined blue velvet fitted sealed wooden box, never opened. With original packing box.In 1985, Lladro designed a decanter for the Carlos I Imperial brandy produced by Pedro Domecq, a winery based in the Jerez region in the south of Spain. Brandy de Jerez must be produced in the Jerez area of Andalusia, and aged in 500-liter American oak casks that previously contained sherry, using the Solera system. Solera is a process of aging liquids by fractional blending in such a way that the finished product is a mixture of ages, with the average age gradually increasing. This allows cellar masters to maintain a reliable style and quality over time. 2006 BMW 320 Si M Sport Saloon. Registration number GF06 XFK A must have for any BMW enthusiast. Very desirable rare BMW 320 Si is not to be compared to a factory standard E90 320i. 320 Si was a limited run homologation special of BMW's world touring car. The motoring press referred to the 320 Si as a baby M3. Only 2600 were released by BMW worldwide and only 500 came to the UK with just 153 reported survivors remain registered on the UK roads. 320 Si engines were designed and hand built at the BMW F1 factory. The upshot of the changes is that the 320 Si's engine develops 171 bhp at 7000rpm and the 0-62mph time falls from 9.8 to 8.1 sec and top speed is up by 6mph to 140mph. Linda Le Kinff's portrayal of women is consistently dynamic, ranging from indescribable loneliness to silent, powerful, and elegant.
