Claxton (Florence) - `The Adventures Of A Women In Search Of Her Rights`, containing nearly one hundred original drawings by the author, which have been reproduced in facsimile by the graphotype process of engraving, published by Lee & Shepard, Boston and New York, circa 1870`s, containing seventeen pages (including the title page), bound with oblong pictorial boards, this rare work was a satirical cartoon book against women`s emancipation (af) .
An exceptional and rare early 20th century black opal necklace, the trace link chain set with seven round cabochon black opals of graduated sizes, ranging from an estimated 0.47ct to 1.99ct, the larger five having a gold bar drop set with a single seed pearl, terminating with teardrop black opals of graduated sizes, the principal teardrop measuring approx 14.5x9mm, the opals are predominately of a dark ground with strong blue, purple/blue colour, showing fire of blue, purple/blue and green, particularly in the principal teardrop. Provenance: The vendor`s grandfather purchased the stones loose in Australia, most probably from The Lightening Ridge Mine, in 1900 and had the necklace made for his wife (illustrated).
One box and a 7inch storage case containing approx 42 LP`s, 58 singles and 5 LP Boxsets, records include 2 rare 1957 albums, `Rock n Roll no.2` (HMV CLP 1105) and `Loving You` original RCA silver spot (RC 24001) 10inch, unfortunately both are in poor condition. Also included is `American Trilogy` 3LP 1984 Imperial Record release (DR 1124), `Elvis Aron Presley` 8LP 1980 RCA Release (25th Anniversary ltd edition no.11123), `Pot Luck` Silver Spot (RD 27265) and `Elvis Golden Records` Red seal (RB 16069). Overall condition fair to very good, unless otherwise stated. Together with this lot is a quantity of 78`s by Elvis. Many have visible surface marks and scuffs, unplayed for a number of years, sound quality unknown..
A rare 1977 RCA UK Boxset `Elvis Presley Gold - 16 Number Ones`. Comes complete with sixteen 7inch singles individually housed in picture sleeves contained in a Black & Gold card carry box. This particular copy was won by the vendor. It was the runner-up prize for the Daily Mirror : Presley Gold Sixteens Contest, in which the vendor competed to win a trip to see Elvis in Indianapolis. Together with the original letter congratulating the vendor for being runner-up, and that their prize `a copy of Elvis Presley Gold - 16 Number Ones` is enclosed. A rare Elvis special souvenir package for the Las Vegas Hilton, December 2nd - Thurs 1th 1975 engagement. Turquoise Hilton package. Paper bag consist of: one Summer Festival souvenir menu 1975 11x11inch, a 1975 colour tour photo 8x10inch, an Elvis 1975 Summer Festival oversize postcard, Elvis Christmas card from Elvis & The Colonel 5x7inch and one 1976 RCA pocket calendar. The entire package is in very good to excellent condition. The Colonel came up with the idea for this souvenir package when Elvis cancelled his Summer Festival 1975 engagement at the hotel. What to do with all the pre-printed material printed for the engagement? Sell it as a souvenir package for $3.00 at the December engagement. (illustrated).
Two extremely rare original Elvis Presley 1975 Las Vegas Hilton Showroom dinner menu`s. These highly sought after Elvis and Vegas collectables measure 17x7inch and both are in excellent condition. They were used for the December 2-15 1975 engagement at the Las Vegas, Hilton. The covers are black and gold with a colour rainbow. Inside is the wine and main entrée. This is the second rarest menu with the 1969 opening menu being just in front of it for value. (illustrated).
Ernest Ranglins rare 1964 album `Reflections` Island label (ILP 915) together with Bob Marley`s `Exodus` 1995 US Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Remastered Limited Edition LP. Pressed on heavyweight 200gram (HD) vinyl these pressings are highly regarded in audio circles. Both are in very good to excellent condition.

Richard III silver groat, obverse reads:- `RICARD` with the `A` seemingly unbarred, reverse:- London Mint with chevron barred `A` in legend, pellet below bust, unfortunately there is a little piece missing from edge over the mint mark, but combination seems sun and rose 2 / sun and rose 1, a combination not listed by Buck or in J.J.North, with an old yellow ticket, well centred, slightly crinkled, a little weakness on one letter in second reverse quarter, very light scuffs across portrait which is nearly all struck up, rare, VF
Septimius Severus, silver denarius, Rome Mint 206A.D.,obverse reads:- SEVERVS PIVS AVG, Laureate head, right, reverse reads:- COS III P P, Triumphal Arch of Severus in the Roman Forum, showing the front elevation, with three arched passageways flanked by four columns, surmounted by roof supporting a chariot of six horses, flanked by horsemen, facing outwards, above sun and crescent moon? [RIC 259, pl.7,2, list the horsemen as perhaps men standing on bulls, the present specimen certainly exhibits horsemen] Sear 6271, this trumphal arch was built by Severus in 203A.D. to commemorate his victory over the Parthians in 198A.D. and still stands today, reverse slightly off centre, exceedingly rare and given as R3 in RIC, an untouched piece GVF/VF sold in these sale rooms Auction 73, 12.July 2009, lot 636

Rare Casualty group to Lieut Douglas Watson 6th & 8th Bn`s Royal Highlanders, later Black Watch, Killed 26/4/1941. Medals - BWM & Victory Medal, GVI Special Constabulary Medal, Defence Medal plus original Casualty Scroll named to Constable D Watson, Norfolk Special Constabulary. Born Aislaby, Nr Whitby, lived Arlington House, Arlington Lane, Norwich. On the 26th April 1941 he was in the Ferry Inn at Horning, Norfolk, when it received a direct hit from a lone German Bomber, 22/3 people were Killed, and 8 injured while they were drinking at the bar, 3 of the killed were RAF pilots from RAF Coltishall. Watson at the time lived at The Croft, Horning and is buried at Smallburgh. GVF-EF (4)
