A 1980 Reliant Scimitar GTC, registration number ONM 692V, Champagne. The GTC is a rare car as only 442 were built over a six year period between 1980 and 1986. The body featured a T-bar roof similar to Triumph's Stag which offered rigidity to the structure and safety to the four passengers. The running gear was taken care of by the tried and tested Ford V6 engine and gearbox in either automatic or four speed manual with overdrive. This rare manual overdrive equipped example is finished in Champagne with a Mushroom velour interior and has the benefit of being fitted with a hard top for all year round motoring. Our vendor advises us that the Scimitar is running and driving with a current MOT but would benefit from some fettling in a few areas. There is a good accompanying history file with receipts for maintenance, previous MOTs and an original owners handbook. Now offering an alternative to the contemporary Triumph Stag or Mercedes SL at a much more competitive price this GTC is well worth consideration. V5C, MOT to July 2019, ***not tax exempt yet*** See illustration. All lots in this sale are sold as is and bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Please read our terms and conditions
A 1974 Land Rover Series III military lightweight 1/2 ton utility truck, registration number HHO 198S, chassis number 95102896A, engine number 95107825A, green. The lightweight or Airportable as it was known was employed by the armed forces, as the name would imply, because it was capable of being airlifted by both helicopter and cargo aircraft. The modifications to the bodywork and chassis enabled the Land Rover to be packed onto a pallet for transportation. This petrol engined lightweight was decommissioned from the army in 1978 and was registered for civilian use. Having been recently sympathetically restored by a garage proprietor?s son, work included the canvas tilt being renewed with a correct military specification item, the bodywork repainted and the wheels replaced with oversized steel aftermarket items fitted with BP Goodrich tyres. This relatively rare version of the classic Series Land Rover will be offered for sale with a history file containing copies of the military paperwork, receipts and some previous MOTs. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration. All lots in this sale are sold as is and bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. A 1966 Triumph 1300, registration number CEJ 904D, chassis number RD 06009, engine number RD 63285, blue. The replacement for the Herald the new front wheel drive 1300 went on sale in January 1965 having been announced in October of the previous year. This example was registered in April 1966 and is finished in blue coachwork with a Shadow blue interior. Our vendor purchased the Triumph last year and has rebuilt the brakes front and rear with new discs, pads, callipers, master cylinder and rear brake cylinder since. There are receipts for the brake components on file. This charming and now rare small family saloon would make an excellent starter classic and will be offered for auction without reserve. A 1937 Rolls-Royce 25/30 project, registration number AGE 555, chassis number GWN 46, blue. This project has been in the current ownership since 1996. The Rolls-Royce was purchased by our vendor with the intention to return the car to its former glory, but unfortunately with other projects and family life this was sadly not possible. The project consists of a rolling chassis which appears in solid condition, a bulk head and windscreen surround, fuel tank, brakes, radiator and chrome radiator shell, dismantled engine, gearbox and re-chromed items including the headlights, gear lever, fuel cap and filler neck, bonnet catches and other items. To complement and aid the restoration of the rolling chassis there is a vast amount of spares including another chassis, gearbox, axles, body panels and numerous other items amassed over the years. The large accompanying history file contains correspondence with the RR enthusiasts club, chassis cards (photocopies), receipts, photographs, microfiche, blue print and other drawings and original owner's handbooks. This exciting project now offers the next custodian a rare opportunity to create a car to their own design as one would have done in period. RF60, V5, V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations. A 1978 Banham Jaguar XJSS convertible, registration number CNW 877T, chassis number JNAEW3AC100108, green. Paul Banham founded Banham Conversions in the 1970s, offering bespoke convertible conversions to Ferrari 400, Aston Martin DBS & V8 and Rolls-Royce models. The company progressed to offer convertible conversions on both the Jaguar XJS and XJ6 as well as offering facelift kits for the XJS in the 1980s. This extremely rare XJSS convertible conversion was based on a pre HE XJS automatic coupé. During the conversion the interior was upgraded to cream leather with contrasting piping and the wheels were changed to wide alloy examples. There is an accompanying history file with numerous photographs showing the conversion in various stages from the initial donor car stripped down and to the finished article, some receipts and MOTs. Having been in storage for some time the Jaguar will require some recommissioning but once this has been completed the Jaguar will offer an unusual and distinctive alternative to the usual XJS. A 1977 Mitsubishi Colt Galant 2000 GTO GS-R restoration project, registration number THK 808R, chassis number 3300387, engine number 52BB3917, red. The Colt Galant GTO GS-R is an extremely rare car on these shores. Introduced in 1973 the export GTO GS-R (Grand Sport & Rally) was only available in select right hand drive countries and featured unique factory fitted wheel arch extensions and modified front valance. The interior had a special leather trimmed steering wheel and an eight dial instrument panel. Power was supplied by a 2 litre straight four OHC engine mated to a five speed gearbox. The styling was definitely influenced by contemporary American muscle cars and there is a striking resemblance to Ford's Mustang. This extremely rare GTO GS-R is believed to be only one of three still registered on British roads. The car requires full restoration and has had the majority of the paint removed and stripped of bumpers and badging in readiness for a re-spray. It would appear that the car is complete apart from one wheel arch extension and the all important and unique badging is present. Having been in dry storage for over twenty years this junior GTO is ready to be restored to its former glory.
