First segment is actually a 12 mm. cal firearm barrel with a percussion primer, whose nozzle is located on the back of the quillon block. Unscrewing the peak cusp of the axe, this turns out to be a ramrod. The lower half of the haft is home for a long, spring-charged firing pin whose handle consists of a pommel at the bottom, in brass and decorated with leaves and frames in relief. All the haft surface is silver inlaid (small parts missing) and engraved with flowers., length 62 cm.

Camera Repair (Oregon WI 53575) in 2012. The Leica M2 was cleaned and adjusted for good working order. Noted that the camera did not require a 100% overall. The 2nd image in the R/F had very minor spots that could not be removed. The inner lens elements of the Leitz Summicron lens was cleaned, some fogging noted. The inner lens and 'bugeyes' of the Leica Elmarit lens was corrected and lens cleaned.
