1921-32 30c yellow-green and violet, left marginal interpane block of four from the July 1924 printing from combined plates 7 and 12, comprising two vertical pairs showing dies I (upper) and II se-tenant (SG 352b), very fine o.g. (the stamps u/m), with folded gutter as often but a rare and most attractive positional multiple. The scarcest of the six values occurring in this form, cat £1,500+.
1880 2½d rosy mauve, plate 14, lettered 'AL', upper marginal with '2½d' value indicator, exceptionally with the red '(Crown)/POSTAGE 2½d handstamp (which should have appeared in the right margin) ON THE STAMP (SG 3var), fine o.g. (hinged in margin) with fresh colour, small gum disturbance at SE corner, but a very rare and remarkable item
1912-20 3s slate-green (SG 66), complete sheet of thirty (6 x 5) with full margins, light overall gum toning (heavier towards outside of sheet) and small tone spot on gum of the left stamp of the third row, perf separation in margins and between stamps 3 and 4, light gum bends/wrinkles and a diagonal crease on the lower left stamp, the stamps u/m with lovely colour, a few faults in the margins still an attractive and rare complete sheet, cat £2,850+

Titanic" Interest - A rare bronze single sided commemorative medal for Captain Rostron, by Theodore Spicer-Simpson (1871-1959), the obverse with head of Captain Rostron facing right with the inscription - "S.S. Titanic, April 15 1912, S.S. Carpathia, Captain Rostron", 2ins diameter Note: The S.S.Carpathia arrived two hours after the Titanic had sunk and succeeded in rescuing 705 survivors from the ship's life boats. This medal was privately commissioned by two of those survivors, and 500 were produced.
Rare WWII para-dummy, also known as 'Rupert'. This was a military deception device intended to imitate a paratrooper drop to cause the enemy to move forces unnecessarily. They were sand filled and intended to explode on contact with the ground to hide their presence. Approximately 500 dummies were dropped on D-Day alongside 6 SAS soldiers who were dropped with them and played recordings of loud battle noises in order to distract German troops from the real invasion. Made from hessian or sandbag material, the dummies have cords at the head, hands and feet for filling sand and contain a small folded cotton parachute, in unused condition
