Rare WW2 signed prints The RAF Jubilee Limited Edition. This portfolio of prints was produced in 1979 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. It consists of four high quality prints taken from paintings by artist Eric Kennington, which he painted in 1940 of famous WWII airmen. Each one measures 14 x 10 inches and they are personally autographed in pencil by the airmen in question: Douglas Bader, James Ginger Lacey, John Cunningham and Rod Learoyd VC. The first is seemingly unrecorded, not on COPAC or WorldCat, and there are only 2 copies of the second on COPAC (BL and Senate House Libraries, London University).T.S.Champneys was a J.P. and Lt.-Col. of the Selwood Forest Legion, Volunteer Cavalry and Infantry, from a respected West Country family made rich by plantations in the West Indies and slavery. He was later disgraced, having run through the family fortune he appeared in the insolvency court with enormous debts.

Bowyer, 1745.⁂ A rare poem on theological subjects, ranging from Natural Religion to the Ressurection. ESTC lists only four copies.
Irish poet.- Chaloner (John) Rome; a Poem in Two Parts, first edition, half-title, spotting, 1821 bound with The Vale of Chamouni, A Poem by the Author of "Rome", first edition, without half-title, 1822, together 2 works bound in 1 vol., presentation inscriptions from the author to endpapers, contemporary half morocco, spine gilt, rubbed, light wear to extremities, 8vo. ⁂ A pair of rare works, the second with only 3 on COPAC. While both works are printed in London, the Irish location of both inscriptions (Clonmel, where a Captain John Chaloner lived in the first half of the 19th century) and the Irish dedicatee of the second work indicate that the author himself was Irish.

Purssell, Biscuit Bakers, for Families or Exportation, Cooks, Confectioners, and Contractors, for Dinners, Wedding-Breakfasts, Ball-Suppers, or Fetes of any kind, wood-engraved plates and illustrations, 2 folding, outer margin of one leaf torn and lacking small portion, original pictorial wrappers, stitching broken, a little rubbed, 8vo, Richard Barrett, [1849].⁂ Rare advertising booklet for the famous confectionery firm of Purssell's on Cornhill in the City of London. The 2 large folding plates depict the coffee saloon and the vast kitchen with rows of biscuit makers; the pictorial wrappers show the exteriors of the Cornhill premises with the café at no.78 on the upper cover and the confectionery shop at no.80 on the lower. COPAC lists only one copy (City of London, Guildhall Library), and WorldCat one in the Caroline Simpson Library, Historic Houses Trust of New South Wales, Sydney.
