A Chinese jadeite ‘quail and millet’ water pot and stand, late 19th century, carved in high relief and openwork with quail standing on rockwork pecking at millet with tendrils and leaves, one side of the water pot carved in low relief with a butterfly, the pale green and white stone with darker green and russet inclusions, 15cm wide, original carved and pierced wood stand, total width 15.2cm***CONDITION REPORT***The jadeite water pot has natural inclusions and veining to the stone. There is a tiny chip to one wing of a bird with outstretched wings, a little dirty in places, otherwise in good condition. The wood stand has some scratching and scuffing to the top surface which is covered when the water pot is in position.
