An Edwardian 18ct diamond set pendant with central transitional cut, millgrain set stone, weight approximately 0.25ct, within an pierced diamond border all suspended from bar with two stone pediment, length of pendant 50mm, all suspended from a modern 18ct white gold chain, total weight 7g, boxed.

WILLIAM STONE (1842-1913) - 'Old Farm Buildings near Bromsgrove, Winter Time', oil on canvas, signed lower right, also signed and titled verso (16 x 24 in (40.5 x 61 cm); frame 22½ x 30½ in (57 x 77.5 cm). Condition: Dirty old varnish, thinnesses evident, craquelure and bar marks, decorative reproduction Chippendale style frame and velvet slip.

A 9ct yellow gold and peridot two stone cross over ring: Birmingham 1997, the two pear cut peridots over pierced shoulders, size O: together with a pair of 18ct yellow gold and peridot stud earrings, with 9.5mm trillion cut peridots and post backs for pierced ears, the butterflies 9ct gold. (3)
A Victorian 12ct gold, pink stone and seed pearl fede ring: hallmarked '12' and '.5', Birmingham, the two hands holding a seed pearl cluster centred by an oval cut pink stone, size O.Hallmarks a little rubbed but still legible. Old repair to one shoulder, with a gold plate soldered behind the hand to secure the cluster. One seed pearl replaced with MOP and some wear/tiny splits to cluster settings.
An 18-carat gold, emerald and diamond cluster ring.Ring size O. Setting in good condition overall, clear hallmarks. The emerald measures approx. 9.75 x 7.75mm. x 5.9mm. deep. The emerald has a couple of very light, small scratches to the table and a few tiny exposed cavity inclusions to the table. Two tiny chips to the crown and a few tiny exposed cavity inclusions to the crown at one end of the stone. One light fracture mark low down on the crown to one side of the stone from an inclusion beneath. Colour good but notably deeper to one end than the other. Diamonds total approx. 1ct.
A scarce WW1 casualty pair, with a most unusual double issue death plaques and double issue scroll.Comprising of the British War Medal and Victory Medal, both named to 41156 Pte G. Smith, 11th Battalion Manchester Regiment (26/07/1881-06/09/1917).Plus 2 bronze memorial plaques ‘death plaques’, both named to George Smith, their accompanying scrolls, both named to Pte George Smith Manchester Regiment.There is also a large collection of related period ephemera, including 1917 dated newspapers reporting on Pte Smith’s wounding and later death, a period photograph of Pte Smith in uniform, letters sent home to his wife, and from an Army Chaplain reporting on his passing.The lot also contains George’s army death certificate and last will and testament, plus photographs of his original wooden grave marker and his later stone headstone, plus other documents.Notes: The group comes to auction directly from a family member, having never been offered for sale previously.According to information supplied by the vendor, the 2 death plaques have always been in the family, but the reasons as to the double issue are unknown.It’s possible that the double issue was a rare error by the office responsibe, but this is unable to be confirmed as there are no surviving records of plaque issues.Pte Smith’s medal index card confirms the pair as his full entitlement.Condition: generally very good - the ribbons are original to the medals, but the BMW ribbon has faded.Some of the documents are slightly fragile due to age, sand there is staining and foxing to both scrolls.Viewing of this emotive group is recommended.

Silver sweetheart brooches.To include: a WW2 example, with enamel infill detailing, and set with paste stones to each of the wings, and a coloured stone to the crown.Marked ‘Sterling Silver Made in England’ to the reverse.Plus, a post WW2 example, likely later 1950’s.With enamel infill details, and set with marcasite stones to each of the wings.Marked ‘Silver’ to the reverse side.2 items.One measures 5.5cm across, and the other 4.8cm across.Condition: both good.No loss of stones, or enamel.The larger of the 2 examples has some wear to the fine details of the crown and RAF letters.
An interesting 19th century stone bow by Ward.The bow is fitted with a contained cocking lever, and a flip up ‘pitchfork’ steel sight.The breech has another flip up sight with 2 pin hole apertures through which you can view a target (this being engraved with the makers mark of Ward).Hardwood stock with chequered detailing.Approximately 80cm length, and 77cm width.Condition: missing its bowstring.Overall darkening of the steel parts, plus some very light old corrosion in places.Some nibbles and contact marks to the wooden body, but free from splits or any major issues.
A British No.7 MK1 bayonet and other military related items.To included: a 1948 dated No.7 bayonet, designed primarily for the Sten Gun.With paxolin grips and distinctive swivelling pommel.The blade is marked at the ricasso with ‘No7 MK1 L’ and to the other side it is faintly marked 1948 and what appears to be a letter P in a circle.This would likely related to the Poole factory, who produced around 30,000 of the 176,000 produced in total.The pommel is faintly marked ‘F5B’ and with a broad arrow mark, plus the other side is faintly marked ‘Made in UK’.Please note that the bayonet is minus its scabbard.Plus a Skean Dhu style sock knife, with citrine paste stone set into the pommel, and base metal mounts.A Irish clan badge style motif is inset into the grip, a cased Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal complete with its miniature medal and ribbon bar, a WW1 era ‘Bovril Handy-Book & Diary of the War’, 2 x Peter Hicks bronze resin military figurines, and 2 vintage Dinky armoured vehicle toys.8 items.Condition: Varies across pieces.The No.7 bayonet is good, with only normal service wear.The Skean Dhu is in good condition.The WW1 booklet is in poor condition, with loose pages and creasing.The Pingat Jasa medal appears to be virtually mint.The resin figurines are in average condition, and one has rifle that appears to have broken away.The 2 Dinky toys are play worn, with missing tracks to the tank.
