A PLATINUM THREE STONE DIAMOND RING of estimated combined 0.50cts of old cut diamonds, finger size K1/2, weight 2.4gms Condition Report:Middle diamond, old cut, nibbles to the girdle, no inclusions can be seen with a loope. Side diamonds; one has a surface reaching unpolished out cleavage fracture, to the top, the other has a chip to the under girdle and one tiny carbon spot, overall needs a good clean, mount ok, a little wear to the base of the mounts.
A BRIGHT YELLOW METAL FIVE STONE DIAMOND RING set with estimated approx 0.85cts of old cut diamonds to the scrolled mount with further rose cuts set in between, finger size N, weight 3.4gms Condition Report: Approximate diamond weights:-. 1 x 0.25cts. 2 x 0.20cts. 2 x 0.10cts = 0.85cts. Some carbon spots, and clear feathers seen with a loope, one right in the middle of the table of the largest diamond, one of the tiny rose cuts is missing. Mount all good.
A WHITE METAL THREE STONE DIAMOND RING the combined estimated approximate diamond content is 0.80cts, finger size N1/2, weight 3.4gms Condition Report: Diamonds; 1 x 40cts 2 x 20cts = 0.80cts, all three diamonds have clear feather type inclusions, middle one has a tiny chip to the girdle, can only just be felt with a fingernail, plenty of sparkle to the naked eye, some wear to the mount from rubbing on other rings.
AN 18CT GOLD OPEN FACE POCKET WATCH BY J. B. CAW, EDINBURGH with white enamelled dial black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and gold coloured hands. Dated Birmingham 1833, diameter of the case 5cm, weight including mechanism 132.6gms Condition Report: Mechanism seized, no key. Hairline cracks to the dial no chips, case has no dents, scratches indicative of wear. diamond end stone to the balance.
A SUBSTANTIAL THREE STONE DIAMOND BAR BROOCH the middle diamond is estimated approx at 0.95cts and flanked by two estimated approx at 0.85cts, taking the combined total to 2.65cts, length of brooch 6.5cm, weight 4.6gms Condition Report: Middle diamond; 6.36mm x 6.35mm x 3.18mm. Side one; 6.11mm x 6.18mm x 3.84mm. Side two; 6.10mmx 6.13mmx 3.83mm.
A GENTS 18CT GOLD THREE STONE DIAMOND DOME RING set with estimated approx 1.48cts combined, finger size approx V, weight 8gms Condition Report: Mount nice and heavy, slightly out of round, not going to be easy to make round as the collect of the largest diamond protrudes through the back of the setting. Largest diamond; has a series of unpolished out cleavage flakes to the back of the collet, there are two to the front as well, this stone was hand cut so, back then the most important thing was to keep the weight in the stone, and not polish out all the imperfections. The same goes for the two smaller diamonds, tiny cleavage flakes, other than that all diamonds appear eye bright and clean with a lot of sparkle.
A WHITE METAL BLUE ZIRCON AND DIAMOND ACCENT RING the step cut zircon is approx 8.2mm x 7.5mm x 5mm, with three diamonds to each shoulder. Finger size K1/2, weight 3.2gms Condition Report: Apart from a few miniscule abrasions to the edges of the side facets, I must stress I am being overly pernickety you have to really look hard to see them even with a 20x loope, which considering the nature of zircon is amazing, nice double refraction and a lot of sparkle to this stone. the ring is in really good condition, barely worn, diamonds bright and clean by eye a few tiny carbon spots with a loope.
A SUBSTANTIAL DIAMOND AND SAPPHIRE RING diamonds estimated approx at 0.96cts and 1.04cts, with further diamond accents between the stones, sapphire dimensions approx 8.2mm x 7mm x 4.6mm, made by S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd, London, (no date letter) circa 1892 to 1907, finger size P1/2, weight 6.7gms Condition Report: Diamonds estimated approx;- . 6.43 x 6.29 x 3.74mm = 0.96cts. 6.46 x 6.07 x 4.18mm = 1.04cts. Both eye bright and clean, good colour, well matched, with a loope two clear feather inclusions towards the girdle of both, sapphire has a tiny chip where it nearly touches the diamond on one side feel this must have happened during setting. Sapphire good colour has linear and hexagonal inclusions, clear stone, inclusions are in planes that go from the table to the cullet, it has been well cut to maximise colour and minimise inclusions, slight abrasions to the top facets, Mount all good.
A PLATINUM AQUAMARINE AND DIAMOND RING the step cut aquamarine measures approx 8.6mm x 6.9mm x 5.1mm, with diamond accents set tot he shoulders in pierced millgrain settings. Finger size O1/2, weight 4gms Condition Report: Well cut aquamarine, clean stone no inclusions, diamonds bright, mount all good light general wear.
AN 18CT GOLD AND PLATINUM DIAMOND FLOWER RING set with estimated approx 1.90cts of brilliant cut diamonds, head size approx 15.4mm, finger size Q, weight 5.2gms Condition Report: No damage to the centre stone setting, the millgrain edge is not as uniform as it could have been. Centre diamond; has a cloudy feather with a tiny bit of carbon within it, a few miniscule carbon spots. Other diamonds;- much the same, clear feather/clear crystal, few tiny carbon spots. Non of the above are eye visible, can only be seen with a 20x loope. Mount would benefit from a professional clean and polish.
AN 18CT GOLD SIX CLAW SET DIAMOND SOLITAIRE of estimated approx 0.98cts, finger size M, weight 3.6gms Condition Report: I cannot give you a full diamond report as I am not qualified to do so, but I can tell you what I can see. . diamond;- dimensions; 6.45mm x6.45mm x (approx closed back setting) 4.4mm. A cluster of five tiny carbon spots to the table, I can't see them by eye, only with a loope, otherwise nice clean diamond, they don't seem to reflect around the stone too badly, appears to be a decent colour F to H. no chips, mount light general wear.
