Large early English painted wooden dolls house on stand with contents, mid 19th century, painted stone exterior with quoining, two large bay windows to ground floor and a further three windows to upper floor, two steps leading to wooden panelled front door with window light above, pitched red roof with decorative wooden border, large glazed attic window to let in light and two large chimneys, front opens in two wings to four rooms, hallway and landing. Top right Bedroom: with two metal beds, marble top washstand, soft metal dressing table, tinplate bath on stand, two cribs and four all bisque dolls. Top left Bedroom: with a draped four poster bed, Waltershausen wardrobe with mirror, chest of drawers, mirror stand and two beaded chairs, brass table and a miniature glazed china doll. Sitting room: with Waltershausen settee and four chairs upholstered in green silk, table, display cabinet and early side board with drawers (engraved ‘D.C 1825’), a brass table, beadwork coffee set, tinplate fireplace and surround, two all bisque seated nodding figures, two dolls and more. Kitchen: with white painted dresser, corner cabinet, further dresser, table, bench and kitchen utensils, maid in original clothes. Hallway: with a wooden banister staircase leading to landing. A charming Moritz Gottschalk blue roof dolls house, German circa 1890, with stone and red brick paper lithographed exterior on a painted light blue base with three glazed windows all with painted red and cream moulded surrounds and sills and painted front door, pitched dark blue roof with two attic windows and two chimneys, front opens to two rooms on two levels with good original wallpapers, floors and curtains, (condition: good some slight fading, one window bar lacks paper bar, interior excellent), 23 ½” (60cm) tall, 12 ½” (32cm) wide, 8 ½” (21cm) deep.
‘Shamrock House’ a fine and early wooden dolls house, probably Irish, late eighteenth century, with painted stone exterior, the façade having large double bay, porch entrance with arched doorway, reverse painted glazed windows with painted window bars and curtains, moulded sills and painted key-stones, left side with single story annex, open doorway, and further glazed window, right side with detachable store-room, open window, door and inner partition, pitched painted black roof with tile effect and two chimney’s, the roof lifts of to reveal upper floor with two bedrooms and hall way with simple open doorways, first floor lifts of to reveal a further two rooms, three hallways, one with partially made staircase and annex, all with open doorways, main rooms with cut in fire-places, (condition: one key-stone and window sill edge replaced, another sill front missing, normal wear), together with small note of provenance, relating to maker, 10 ½” (27cm) tall, 20” (51cm) wide, 13” (33cm) deep

A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE EWER AND COVER QING DYNASTY OR LATER Carved in shallow relief with Immortals amongst rocks under pine and peach trees, the handle formed as a phoenix with a loose ring hanging from one of its tail feathers, the cover surmounted by a knop formed as Shoulao riding a deer with a sprig of lingzhi in its mouth, the stone with some russet inclusions, 15.5cm. A CHINESE JADEITE CARVING OF A SCENE FROM THE LEGEND OF THE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL 20TH CENTURY Depicting a group of Immortals with an attendant standing on clouds above a pine tree, a scaly dragon lurking at their feet, with a figure and a grazing horse at the base of the tree, the stone with pale lavender and green areas, together with a wood stand, 18cm. TWO CHINESE JADE TWO-HANDLED BOWLS MING AND QING DYNASTY Each carved with a band of raised studs, the larger cup a translucent pale celadon colour, the handles decorated with archaistic swirls, the smaller cup's handles formed as dragons, the stone celadon with white mottling and black and russet inclusions, together with wood stands, 12.7cm. A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE CARVING OF A FOREIGNER WITH A LION DOG QING DYNASTY The figure stands wearing a headband and a long cloak, holding a stem of lingzhi at his side and a sceptre by his face, his long hair curling up at the ends, the lion dog sits next to him with bulging eyes and an open mouth, the stone with minor russet inclusions, together with a fitted silk stand, 8.5cm.
