A 19th century Chinese bronze depicts the child Buddha, standing upon a lotus base, one arm raised the index finger pointing to the Heavens, the other finger pointing down to the Earth (symbolising the unification of Terrestrial and Celestial through the Buddha) 16cm highCondition report: No losses, good patina, with green Verdigris build up n crevices. 19th century, Provenance: from a local collector – they are particularly knowledgeable and like bronzes, carved stone and wood deities, both tribal and world religions, from all centuries and regions.
