Provenance: from an old Sussex middle eastern collection. The artefact is in fine condition (The spout had been repaired) and measures 130 mm tall x 180 mm wide x 62 mm deep.

Centre stone has inclusions as do the other stones.

A gentleman's Must De Cartier silver-gilt-cased Tank wristwatch; the signed gold-coloured rectangular Art Deco style dial with Roman numerals and the date aperture at the 3 o'clock position, the reverse of the case fully signed, hallmarked and individually numbered 157514P L, with blue cabochon stone crown and original gilt-metal clasp and brown leather crocodile effect strap, within original red Cartier hide pouch This lot has been consigned from a lady of title.  It has a quartz battery which has run but it should be in good working order.  The back of the case is screwed on with 8 screws and in order to change the battery this would need to go back to Cartier.  The case size is 3.5cm x 2.5cm.  The strap is marked Cartier.
