Islamic Ghaxni stone carved oil lamp: A rare carved stone oil lamp from Ghazni, Afghanistan, late 19th century. A large oil lamp with the entire body cut from a piece of marble and decorated with tendrils divided in cartouches and zig-zag patterns, looped handle with lions head, separate lid the lions head decoration and a cut oil channel. Provenance: from an old Sussex middle eastern collection. The artefact is in fine condition (The spout had been repaired) and measures 130 mm tall x 180 mm wide x 62 mm deep.

19th century Scottish horn novelty vinaigrette of snuff mull form, the silver metal hinged cover decorated in repousee with thistle head design and set with faceted Cairngorm citrine, the body with applied shield cartouche engraved "Mabel", on ring link chain, 8cm long Condition Report:Both horn and silver appear in reasonable order. Stone to the bottom/tip is broken and mostly missing. Hinge works well.Yes the grill is still there.
A very fine early 20th century platinum and 18-carat gold claw-set 19-stone diamond brooch of crescent form; the central diamond flanked by graduating diamonds either side (boxed) (approx. 2.75 carats in total, 7.5cm and approx. total weight of 7.06g) Centre diamond has a nice colour and there are no chips. Centre stone has inclusions as do the other stones.

It has a quartz battery which has run but it should be in good working order. The back of the case is screwed on with 8 screws and in order to change the battery this would need to go back to Cartier. The case size is 3.5cm x 2.5cm. The strap is marked Cartier.
