A diamond panel brooch, the shaped rectangular panel of pierced geometric design, centred with a transitional brilliant-cut diamond in millegrain collet setting, framed by a double row border of slightly graduated old and single-cut diamonds, white precious metal mounted, principal diamond weight approximately 0.65ct, total diamond weight approximately 2.30ct, length 3.55cmDiamonds are mostly well matched with a bright and lively appearance, some stones with small dark mineral inclusions, surface-reaching fractures and small chips/nicks, including the principal stone. Estimated H to K colour and SI1 to P2 clarity, assessed mounted. The mount has general surface wear, with patchy wear to the edges of the settings and dark solder joins/repairs visible at junctions within the frame. There is a small split at the junction of the brooch pin hinge to the mount. The brooch pin and visor clasp are currently functioning. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approximately 7.2gm.

Lot 176

A moonstone and diamond cluster ring, the heart-shaped moonstone cabochon bordered by single-cut diamonds, between bifurcated shoulders, two colour precious metal mounted, stamped '18K', (one white stone later replaced, possibly adapted), total diamond weight approximately 0.25ct, ring size P½One of the stones to the upper right corner of the cluster is a later white stone replacement. The remaining diamonds have variable colour and clarity, some stones with chips and surface-reaching fractures (the diamonds are too small to grade). The moonstone has a soft bluish schiller with surface wear. The setting is possibly silver mounted (untested as such) with patchy thinning to the edges and may have been adapted with a later added ring mount, which has surface wear. Metal standard of the shank is also untested. Length of cluster setting 11mm. Gross weight approximately 3.2gm.

Lot 181

A pair of diamond and vari-gem set earrings, each heart-shaped panel of hammered finish, centred with an oval mixed-cut amethyst in collet setting, accented by round brilliant-cut diamonds and a cabochon pink stone, on post and hinged clip fittings, yellow precious metal mounted, length 2.3cmOf modern manufacture, with surface wear, scuffs and nicks/chips to the mounts and gemstones, commensurate for use. The mounts have patchy tarnishing and the hinged clips are functioning, having white metal pins to the hinges. The pink stones are possibly pink tourmalines but are too small to test, both contain fissure and fracture inclusions. Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, total diamond weight approximately 0.08ct. Width of panels 2.45cm. The mounts don't appear to be marked and are untested for metal standard. Gross weight approximately 25.8gm.

A diamond single stone pendant on chain, the cushion-shaped old-cut diamond in millegrain collet setting, suspended from knife-edge bar, on a trace-link chain, white precious metal mounted, diamond weight approximately 2.60ct, pendant length 3.15cm, chain length 39.5cmThe diamond is drawing a pronounced yellow tint and has a chip/surface-reaching fractures to the lower side crown facets, running in from the girdle, that are visible under close inspection. The remainder of the stone is relatively 'clean', with a small pale fracture inclusion beneath the table facet. Estimated P2/P3 clarity (due to chip/fractures) and tinted colour, assessed mounted. Diamond dimensions approximately 8.3mm length x 7.6mm width x 5.25mm depth. The pendant setting and chain have surface wear, scuffs and nicks and the clasp is functioning. There is a faint solder join to one side of the setting, presumed to be part of manufacture. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approximately 3.7gm.

A pair of 'day and night' diamond flowerhead earrings, each centred with a cushion-shaped old-cut diamond stud in pinched collet setting, with post and butterfly fittings, accompanied by a pair of detachable flowerhead panels with graduated old and lasque-cut diamond set petals, white precious metal mounted, principal old-cut diamond weights approximately 0.75ct and 0.65ct respectively, total weight of old-cut diamonds approximately 1.80ct, length 2.15cmThe principal diamonds are of slightly different sizes but lively and fairly bright, both with a yellowish tint and surface-reaching fractures, estimated K to M colour and P1 clarity, assessed mounted. The principal diamonds measure approximately 5.5mm length x 5.2mm width and 5.8mm length x 5.6mm width respectively (depth of each stone unknown due to settings). Bordering diamonds have slightly variable colour and clarity, some stones with fractures/small chips, but give an overall lively appearance. It is likely that the earrings are later adapted as each panel has a small loop fitting to the reverse and the post/butterfly fittings are a later addition. The mounts have general surface wear, with patchy thinning to the edges of the settings. Some of the small closed-back settings have pinpoint-sized holes to the back. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approixmately 8.3gm.

A diamond five stone ring, the graduated old brilliant-cut diamonds in claw setting, two colour precious metal mounted, stamped '18CT', total diamond weight approximately 0.35ct, ring size Q½One of the outer diamonds is a later modern brilliant-cut replacement. Diamonds are fairly well matched and lively, graduating in size from approximately 0.12ct to 0.03ct, one of the stones with a chip to the side. Remaining diamonds have estimated SI1 to P1 clarity and I to L colour, assessed mounted. The shank and setting are worn and some of the claws have been re-tipped. Metal standard is untested. FP25K67V Ring: crazing, surface wear and dust/dirt residue to ivory miniature panel, with scuffs, scratches and nicks to glazing above. Small chips/nicks and scuffs to enamel inscription. Panel measures approximately 2.8cm length x 1.8cm width. The ring mount has surface wear, with solder seams visible at junctions to the panel reverse and shoulders, and is untested as gold/gilt metal. Engraved decoration has patchy light wear. Brooch: The central agate cabochons are foil-backed and the purple stones are possibly foil-backed pastes, all with considerable abrasion, scuffs and chips to the surface.
