A jade figure of a young boy, early 20th century, carrying a peony flower over his shoulder, the stone generally a uniform colour throughout, albeit small white speckles to his feet, affixed to a wooden stand, the jade 6.7 cm, overall 8 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a small chip to the rim of the upper most petal at the rear. There is a very fine polished line issuing from the base of the figure approximately 1.5 cm up to the front of its legs however this appears to be a fracture line in the material itself and not something that has been done post production. The figure is glued to its wooden base. Other than those faults mentioned there are no further obvious faults or flaws visible.
A carved alabaster ceiling light shade, circa 1920, having a beaded rim and lobed body with three suspension rings and chain, diameter 35 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The suspension chains are 75 cm long. This lot does not include a ceiling rose. Being alabaster and a soft stone there are a few very minor nibbles to the central boss on the underside of the plafonnier, however in my opinion this is not detrimental to its overall effect. There appear to be no obvious cracks, chips or sections missing.
An Ironstone two handled serving dish, and nine 22 cm plates, Victorian, printed mark "Stone China" (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The two handled dish is in good order with no obvious faults and rings out when tapped. Six plates all appear to be in very good condition with no obvious faults cracks, chips or post production flaws. They all ring out when tapped. One plate although free from any major cracks or flaws and chips has two very small sections where the glaze has fractured and is slightly stained but is otherwise good. The two remaining plates are both free from chips but both have very very fine Y shape hairline cracks to the underside, on one plate the crack does not show through whilst on the other one the cracks shows through with light staining.
An Art Deco oval ring, set with a blue stone surrounded by small diamonds, size M. CONDITION REPORT: There are a few very minor scratches to the blue stone. There are however no chips or nicks. The shank is in good order and there is no evidence of any repairs. The stones all appear secure in their mounts.
A Victorian silver necklace, set with graduated citrines. Length 42 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The stones do not have enclosed backs. The stones are all in generally very good condition with only the odd minor surface scratch or mark. One stone has a more severe internal fracture somewhat like an inclusion. This is only visible with a loop. The necklace is structurally sound with no visible damage to any of the links.
A gentleman's 9 ct gold signet ring set with bloodstone, ring size Y, and an 18 ct gold signet ring, ring size L. CONDITION REPORT: 9 ct gold ring 8.3 grams gross. 18 ct gold ring 4.6 grams. The 9 ct gold ring is in very good order with no significant issues. The shank is not significantly worn and there are no scratches to the stone. The 18 ct gold ring is again in generally good order. It is uninscribed. The hallmarks are clear. There are only minor surface marks and scratches to the uninscribed top.
