Provenance: From the estates of the late Prince Vladimir Emmanuelovitch Galitzine (1884-1954) and his son, the late Prince Emanuel Vladimirovitch (1918-2002)
A Georgian silver nutmeg grater, dated 1799 to base, monogrammed DD, of miniature urn form, with a hinged rising lid embossed with laurel leaves, the top set with a facet cut rock crystal / glass stone, the main body decorated with swagged fruit and flower garlands. With a hinged compartment to the pedestal base, grater / grill missing.
