A Late 19th/ Early 20th Century Continental Silvery Gilt Metal and White Enamel Rectangular Cigarette Case, retailed and stamped by Lenoir 19bd des Capucines Paris and stamped importe, the front and back with guilloche enamel and with blue stone cabochon set push button, 3.25ins x 2.5ins, gross weight 3.7ozs, in original leather covered retailers case Condition - The enamel appears to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration. The catch and hinge both work well. The gilt interior is in good condition and the gilding remains unrubbed. The original retainers leather covered case is in reasonably good condition. The hinge and leather at that point is intact and the catch works well. There is some typical light scattered wear to the leather surface, and internally there is some spotting and discolouration to the material.

An Early 20th Century Faberge Silver Gilt and Yellow Enamel Rectangular Cigarette Case, by Igor Pankratyev, St Petersburg 1898 -1908, 88 standard, scratched inventory No. 13419 (?), the whole with guilloche enamel and with blue stone cabochon thumb piece, 3.875ins x 2.5ins x .75ins high, gross weight 5.1ozsCondition - Two miniscule loses to enamel to the hinge right side, and a further area of miniscule loss to the front edge of box (right hand side, just below lower right corner of lid). No obvious restoration or loss. The gilt detail to the interior with scratches, primarily to lid.

The underside also has a few miniscule pin-prick shaped marks. There are a few similar scattered marks to the top. Catch and hinge both work well. Gilding to interior is intact and bright. The gilding to exterior metal is worn.

The extend of restoration to this panel cannot be quantified. There is some light scattered scratching to both the lid and base. The catch and hinge work well.

The exterior of gilding with some light wear. Catch and hinge work well.
