Topaz has a light to mid blue hue of fairly even saturation, with light scuffs, scratches, nicks and chips to the surface. The ring mount is modern, with surface wear throughout, and heavier scuffs/nicks to the back of the shank. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approximately 13.8gm.

A green tourmaline three stone brooch, the rectangular step-cut tourmalines in four claw settings, each with pierced gallery, yellow precious metal mounted, length 4.75cmCondition report: Tourmalines are well matched, of good transparency, with light surface wear and occasional nicks/small chips to facet edges. The principal stone has a slightly bluish-green hue, the outer stones have slightly yellowish-green hues. One of the outer stones has faint linear inclusions/colour zoning. The brooch mount has light surface wear, scuffs and nicks and the pin fitting is functioning. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 10.4gm.Dimensions of tourmalines approximately: 17.2mm length x 11.8mm width x 7.6mm depth; 13.3mm length x 8.6mm width x 5.3mm depth; 13.2mm length x 8.7mm width x 5.3mm depth.

A diamond five stone ring, the graduated baguette-cut diamonds in stepped setting, white precious metal mounted, stamped 'PLAT', principal diamond weight approximately 0.45ct, total diamond weight approximately 0.65ct, ring size J½Condition report: Diamonds are bright and fairly lively, some stones containing pale mineral and fracture inclusions, with estimated VS2 to SI1 clarity for the principal stone and estimated SI1 to P1 clarity for the outer stones, and estimated I to K colour for all stones. The ring mount has general surface wear, with yellowish solder joins below the shoulders where the shank has been replaced, and small areas of porosity within the setting. The sides of the shank have also worn flat, due to wear against another ring. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 3.1gm.Dimensions of principal diamond approximately: 5.8mm length x 3.5mm width x 2.5mm depth. Outer stones graduate from approximately 3.5mm length x 1mm width to 2.5mm length x 1mm width.

A pair of half pearl and diamond cluster ear clips, each old-cut diamond bordered by a row of half pearls, on later screw-back fittings, stamped '9ct', (one half pearl deficient, half pearls untested for origin), total diamond weight approximately 0.20ct, length 1.1cmCondition report: Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, but one stone has surface-reaching fractures, estimated SI2 to P2 clarity and H to J colour, assessed mounted, Some of the half pearls have chips, fractures and surface creases, and one half pearl is missing. The mounts have general surface wear, with thinning to the edges of the settings. The screw-back fittings are functioning but later replaced, and have dark solder joins at the junctions to the cluster panels. Gross weight approx. 3.5gm.

A late Victorian emerald and diamond five stone ring, alternately set with graduated rectangular step-cut emeralds and Swiss-cut diamonds, the 18ct gold mount with scroll engraved gallery, hallmarked for Birmingham 1895, maker's mark D&F for Deakin & Francis, ring size MCondition report: The emeralds are well matched, of fairly vibrant mid-green hues, but each of the stones contains multiple inclusions and some surface-reaching fractures that are visible to the unaided eye. The central emerald is chipped to one corner and each of the emeralds has small nicks/chips and scuffs to the surface. The central emerald measures approx. 3.5mm length x 2.8mm width. Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, total weight approx. 0.05ct. The ring mount has general surface wear, scuffs and nicks throughout, with a solder join/repair to one shoulder and further solder joins to the back of the shank as a result of re-sizing. Hallmarks are clearly struck. There is a further worn mark to the shank interior, possibly a model number, which is not legible. Gross weight approx. 3.2gm.
