A group of three staddle stones, probably 18th century, of typical, rustic form, with circular caps on tapered and faceted bases, the tallest example approximately 85cm high Condition Report: Wear to surfaces overall commensurate with age and outdoor exposure, including losses and nibbling to edges of corners of tops and bases, dimpling/coarsening of the stone, and coverage with lichen/algae and other organic residue. Aside from two semi-circular losses to the lowest staddle stone (which is also quite pitted and irregular) and a smaller loss to the middle sized example, the shapes of the caps are mostly intact. smallest 82 high, 65wide overall Middle approximately 85 x 43 Largest approximately 86 x 53cm While we do not have the facility to weigh these items, we would imagine the lot is probably a two-man lift.
